probably wouldn't go that well having: many believers in their own countries, the fact that this isn't the majority opinion of the church and is just one cardinal who got so obsessed with a spell/miracle Sven did that he's turned to necromancy to try and imitate it, and, lastly, the issue that there isn't 'holy' or 'demonic' power nor is there actual gods in this. Sven was just a famous magician of the past they made a religion out of and the 'holy magic' is just the spells he used that the church makes a big deal about. The cardinal may very well be right and what Sven used was actually just high level necromancy but there being no gods or demons, no holy or demonic powers, means that it's all the same anyway.

so, yeah, it might be hard to label the largest and most popular religion as demon worshipers due to the acts of one faction in the church which, though evil in how they obtain the bodies, may be correct in their idea about resurrection magic in a world and religion that doesn't have ACTUAL gods and demons to define these things.
