Wow...the story take a different turn compare to the LN
In the LN, Schupple didn't have a tragic backstory. He's just there as a strong bodyguard for that shitty bishop. Myui didn't ask Beryl to teach her swordmanship, but she had more talent in magic and later attend the magic academy. Beryl also didn't talk about Myui's sister to Myui. Beryl choose not to speak about it because he felt bad about it.

But I prefer how the story goes in the manga. It give the other characters more personalities compare to the LN.

you sure it's LN ver.? because if that's true, that would be weird, since manga adaptation usually follow LN closely, and the loose one usually WN ver.

I swear to baby buddha if the anime is going to be a mass-produced garbo...
This is a manga primarily focused on action scenes, if they'd have people fight in 5 FPS and do talk-no-jutsu constantly, it'd be pointless even as an ad.

This manga is known for doing its own thing vastly improving on the source material, which is one of the reasons why there have plenty of Japanese comments expressing concern about the anime adaptation, since it will be adapting the LN, while the manga, which is what put this series in the spotlight and accounts for most of the sales (5 to 1), has been the main attraction.

Yes, it was an LN. The English translated one was published by J-Novel. That's why I'm surprised with the story in the manga were a bit different than in the LN.

Thank you for reminding me because I thought I went crazy thinking this isn't how I remembered it. Truly better how this one has been done.

Oh shit, please don't adapt the LN version. The early arc is pretty rough. 😭

You had the same reaction as A LOT of people when the first PV was revealed.
Seriously, when Beryl's design was revealed, people were like, "Wait, this is the novel's design? Not the manga's?!"
And it seems the design got retouched later after people commented on it.

The LN is just... bland. Funny enough, in the first PV, they mention the series' total sales were 5.5M, but what they didn't mention is that the manga alone hit 4.5M copies before the PV dropped. So yeah, the manga outsells the LN by that much, yet the LN is what's being adapted. That's why I'm keeping my expectations low, just in case it ends up being one of the biggest wasted potentials ever.

Frankly, if the studios were smart, they could take all the improvements the manga made to the story and build on that with the LN as the source, making fans happy with a decent adaptation. But seeing the studios in charge... who knows...

I've seen too many manga diverging from official LN to know that that's not always the case.

I don't see why they wouldn't leverage the ideas from both manga and LN versions. I really hope the anime does the action well.
