I really like that healing magic is not without side effects.

Plenty of manga where healing magic has side effects/limits.....

From "yeah, it heals your wounds... it does not compensate for blood loss... You stay in bed or I'll set [insert harem member/maid] on you.." to "Your wife is pregnant. Congrats.. Now...first thing... don't use healing magic on her... The result might be her losing the baby because it gets recognised as a foreign object..."

Any story where healing magic is basically accelerated natural healing, the magic has limitations/drawbacks which are usually part of the goings-on in at least one storyline.

Ah, yes. My absolute worst pet peeve when it comes to manga: the absolute butchering of thee/thou/thy/thine. Nobody ever gets it right, but god this one was rough.

Mmm, the flow and how Fissel is introduced as an instructor is a bit different from the LN. However, I think this one is more natural.

Though if the artist is actually weaving in the academy arc right now, they might skip one arc ( LN volume 3)….
That said, flipping LN vol. 3 and 4 around could also makes sense because it would seamlessly connect Myui’s story.

The detail about rapid healing having apparent downsides is something I wish more stories did too. If your MC takes battle damage and it just heals the next day/arc, then the impact of the stakes are non-existent.

Fissel herself is the inspiration for the new course, and you've seen how she fought earlier.

Also pure casters who can't fight in melee would either have to be powerful enough to never let enemies get close (like lolibaba here) or will need to pick up some close combat skill to not be easy target (the church knight girl in the same arc who was their buffer)

It's happening either way.

I'm pretty sure that was the literal plot of Mushoku Tensei, and yes there was a school arc in season 2 (and he was a student).
