I mean, this is basically a gag manga at this point so it probably doesn't matter either way, but if it was taking romance even half-seriously, her lying to him about something this huge would definitely lead to massive drama.

I've been secretly hoping all the characters just suddenly become dumber and thus kick common sense to the curb and achieve happiness somehow, but not every gag manga has what it takes to by sheer will achieve the levels of stupidity necessary to make everyone happy.
