Forgot to make a note about the baby's name, Shizuku: her name could be a combination of her dad's name Shizuo and the number 9 (Kyū/Ku), something like 靜九 in Kanji, which could imply that she will have powers like Kaya.
It's written in Katakana only as of this chapter so I'm just speculating.
But hey, that's just a theory......

For half the chapter I thought they upped the tension because this was supposed to be the teacher who got swapped with a mirror ghost in chapter 21. I wonder if that will ever be brought back up again.

This is a different person. The one that got swapped was Mero-sensei. This teacher's name is Asemi-sensei, and she crashed out from not being able to handle Kaya in Chapter 1.

Ugh, now I've reread the first page and remember I did not like this teacher's vibes at all.
I guess it's like... she seems a lot like she wants to help kids learn how to fit in but it's actually more that kids that don't fit in are a problem to fix.
That's why she has her initial breakdown (before she Sees whatever Kaya kept looking at). She couldn't handle that there was a problem she couldn't solve.

it's nice kaya's still busting ghosts tho i feel like as a kid it'd be draining or i'd want compensation for that but i suppose little kids wouldn't think that way. maybe she can get that otaku guy to treat her to some ice cream or something XD

LOL i get some kids being sad and stuff but surely they would've taken them to the parks or other mom/family friends to socialize with other kids their age to look forward to versus them clinging to their parents

Altho while kaya does have sight and able to exorcise other than long term sucking the life outta that one teacher you'd think the spirit would just go wild and target the whole class versus one specific one. unless the 'don't tell her' is a trigger to where they'd get stronger if they had been revealed or so /switch to haunting him if that kid had said anything

Glad our cute Kaya-chan was able to cheer up the kids by eliminating that hideous ghost, as for Asemi sensei, she has missed a lot huh, was on leave for a whole year and was Kaya-chan's teacher too... I wonder what she has experienced that we don't know about...

It's kind of amazing seeing Mirai act so normal as a background character in this chapter after everything (she really got away with a lot).
