I don't think the mirror teacher is going to appear again.
She's appeared a few times since then and is generally being cheerful and happy, you can recognize her by the mole on her chin or the side ponytail without bangs hairstyle. She actively follows mysterious and/or supernatural stuff happening around town but have bad endings where people get hurt. Probably because she wants to know if there are others like her because that's how she is "alive"

Is Asemi related to the owners of the place because damn they should not be letting someone who's already proved unstable have this much influence.
I've already talked about how Asemi's crashout was only partly from the ghost and how she couldn't stand that she couldn't "fix" Kaya. I think now she's sabotaging Kaya's growth to prove that she's fundamentally "unfixable" so it isn't Asemi's fault she couldn't "fix" a child, it's the supernatural's fault.
I wonder if she think that Kaya is the Source of the ghosts?
… which… TBF, might not be 100% false, as in she probably do attract them in some way… but yeaaah. She’s definitely taking it the wrong way and will probably end up making it much worse.

Asemi keeps making creepy expressions, and I don’t think she’s good at relating to Kaya, but we might actually be able to interpret her actions/words in a more literal manner.

“I’m relieved […] that’s all you got?”
=
“I’m glad you didn’t have to suffer like I did.”

Chie hasn’t opened up to Asemi about the supernatural stuff. from Asemi’s perspective, Chie clearly paid SO LITTLE ATTENTION to Kaya that she’s cheerfully talking about her like an average kid. (Asemi doesn’t have our perspective, so she doesn’t know that Chie is an insanely resilient person who can shrug off fighting vengeful ghosts and not even need to leave work for a bit or get any therapy.)

the other thing we know about Asemi is that she has a “strong sense of responsibility.” I think she smiles at the end of the chapter because she thinks she’s shielding Chie (and the other teachers) from the Horror That Is Kaya. she may intend to also be stricter with Kaya, but I think she’s trying to be a martyr about it.
since she thinks Chie hasn’t been exposed to the supernatural, she wants to remove her before she gets hurt or broken.

Is anyone going to mention how weirdly complacent the black haired teacher was acting, like she the one that told Chie about Asemi being Kaya's teacher, also seamlessly has extra knowledge of Asemi's incident, yet quickly agreed to having Chie step-down as Kaya's teacher.

Hello everyone, sorry for the huge delay since the previous chapter! I'll try to do chapter 50 a bit faster...

PS: I haven't been able to procure raws of the extra chapter for this volume (8), so I won't be able to translate it for you guys.
if I get them for you will you TL it?

Damn... so it looks like Kaya is still traumatized from her mother being scared of her powers. Hopefully the twist is that Kaya's mom accepts her.

Also Asemi's issue being non-supernatural related is going to be very interesting for this arc.
What I'm worried about is of she mentally snapped and has murderous and / or sadistic intentions

Fuck that granny that gave up on the kid immediately, and was like "Wasting my time". Bitch you wasted your own time, if you're not prepared to see something through, don't start. Newsflash: When a kid's throwing a tantrum, they're rarely gonna be reasonable.

Now, onto the bigger elephant in the room. Asemi-sensei sucks, and so does Akira-sensi. "Hey Chie, I know you've been great watching over Kaya, she's certainly come a long way since you starting looking out for her, and I know Asemi literally had a mental breakdown trying to do that same job, but we're gonna take you off of Kaya duty anyway." Like hello? Is the logic department in? The next words out of her mouth better not be "We're going to have Asemi-sensei watch over Kaya-chan now".

Can't help but thinking a demon amplified her trauma.

And maybe something like, "If I couldn't take care that brat and got traumatized because of that, you couldn't either,".

But we'll see...
