Don't tell me the group is still doing this with its latest releases.
Well they seem to have cut back the number of watermarks a bit (it's no longer on literally every page, and they seem to avoid plastering that shit over the actual panels for the most part now), but they are still very clearly skirting the provisions that MD staff set for them. They got rid of the coin bullshit on their site and immediately plastered links to their Patreon and Ko-Fi in the header, locking chapter downloads behind payment so they're still doing the same shit but without the coins.
It is amusing that their attention to detail is apparently so shit that their group has 3 different names to it - KDT Scans, whose watermarks and domain name refer to Silentquill, with a website (a really shit website) that still has Armageddon in the header and title.
Edit: Actually, after looking at their Patreon (which is under yet another name, "seraphindrel"), it looks like they do still offer early access to paid members unless they just haven't updated the Patreon page yet. However, they also run kdtnovels.net which absolutely still uses the coin system, offering them for both Ko-fi donations and crypto payments. Pretty sure staff need to take another look at this group lol...

The MangaDex staff manages Manga, not novels, so they don't have any say in whether we have paywalled novel websites or not (they said it themselves). Currently, we no longer have early access content (which was never locked behind per-chapter coins, but rather a subscription that unlocked everything—which is different, I see you're fixated on the coins). The only benefits for donors are that they can download the Manga we translate in epub, zip, pdf, and cbz formats (this is stated in the same notice, but since I assume you're a poor kid who doesn't like to read anything and doesn't even know the entire alphabet, it's no surprise you missed it), vote for their favorite Manga, and request Manga to translate.
Currently, the MangaDex staff is already aware of what we do, and there's no issue. If you want, go talk to them—they already know everything.
Fair enough, but the fact that you're still continuing that shady behaviour on your other site shows that you have no moral qualms about accepting money for what is ultimately somebody else's work. The two sites are intrinsically linked thanks to both linking the same Ko-fi, so I thought it was relevant to point out that you're still being scummy fucks on your other website.
Then update your Patreon. It's very clear that you put the absolute bare minimum effort into maintaining your website(s), but that's the least you could do. Advertising benefits that do not exist is probably against Patreon's ToS (as is using it to distribute copyrighted content, but I digress).
I am not "fixated" on the coins - that was something that the MD staff specifically called out, and something that's easy to look for so I did. You didn't mention the donor benefits in the header prior to the date of the screenshotted warning message, so it's a very obvious way of skirting the rules that they set down. All of this activity is visible on web archives.
Putting aside how awful value that is if they only get access to your "advanced library function" (it's a fucking file repository, get over yourselves), it's very telling that your only response is to resort to a pathetic personal attack. The irony of somebody whose reply looks suspiciously like it was passed through an LLM calling me illiterate is not lost on me however.
P.S. stating that your website "does not store any files on its server", and then serving all the files through a CDN does precisely nothing to protect you legally, and it'll never not be funny when retards think that shit works.

If I’m not mistaken, chapters 1 and 2 were posted by Kawai Scanlation, and well… all their stuff got removed from MangaDex.

Turns out that this is not the case; this group has been doing this with Party Crusher ever since it picked the project up.
Not that it applies here--read the chapters, and you see the "Silent Quill" watermark on page after page after page, on panels or artwork--but reducing the frequency of the practice is no different from doing so frequently. In the end, even if on just one page, the scanlation group who does this is bastardizing the manga it does this to as if it owns said manga--and this, inevitably, for profit.

With nauseatingly brazen repetition. One reads a given manga for what mental images the panels are meant by the author to generate, not whatever "Silent Quill" or any other such scanlators' watermarks are meant to conjure; in this case, it's an inclination to visit a website. "B-but we can't generate revenue from traffic if no one comes to our site~!" So? The manga does not belong to the scanlator.
The problem, however, is that there are too many people who'll swallow this kind of behavior--this defacement of artistic work--as long as they get their gratification fix; it's either that or, "hurr hurr~ it's just a comic~" Thus, groups like KDT can afford to be so brazen, because no one will spit in such groups' faces for their insolently destructive habits.

I 100% agree with you, I tend to avoid this group due to their translations being kinda low quality on top of their scumbag behaviour, so I just saw one chapter with fewer watermarks and assumed they'd reduced that across the board - apparently not.
I don't think that scanlators should be able to make a living by profiting off of somebody else's work, especially since it's something that's usually done out of passion for the craft. I do a lot of open source work so I probably have stronger opinions than most on that topic - it's a bit like if I started demanding that people donate to me every time I fix a bug in somebody else's software. If anything, readers should be encouraged to support the original author, not the TL (I've seen a few groups that do this, which I think is pretty admirable).
If groups like this were actually smart and forward-thinking, they would use their scanlation as a way to showcase their ability, not as a way to beg for money. For example, somebody I know used to do scanlation years ago, used that work as a portfolio of sorts, and now works as an official translator in the book industry.
question, many translator groups seems to want to do these .1, .2 or even .3 or more of one chapter, is there a reason for this? Personally I'd rather read a complete chapter rather than stopping halway through a chapter. In the Jinsei Gyakuten manga you did full chapters up to 6 chapters but in chapter 7 you did 7.1 so I'm just curious

In the raw (the original Japanese chapter), the same thing happened—after a certain chapter, the Japanese publishers started releasing it in parts. At first, we waited to have both parts, or all the parts that made up the complete chapter, so we could upload it to MangaDex as a single chapter. But currently, MangaDex has become stricter with scanlation groups that have websites, and even though we no longer have a paywall, they require us to upload the chapter to MangaDex within one week at most after it’s been published on our site.
