He's no pushover now that he has the power but he also just doesn't seem to get bothered by people who want him to do something (even if a bit forceful) as long as it doesn't directly harm his companions. I'm fairly sure most people who's been following the manga already know about it. It's been discussed countless times. Since the pacing and release schedule is abysmally slow, people often ask for spoilers from LN readers.

Read about the twist already but it doesn't make the story less dumb. The twist that had never been hinted or built up is just a cheap plot twist for the sake of 'gotcha'. That's just a plain lazy writing.

I'm only following this story to see his ex-party got humiliated at this point since the main story is so repetitive and boring.
