Insane chapter. Klaus killing 3 blood breeds at 12yo while recently turned.

Am I the only person that feels like the blood breed has a very Jesus design? The scars on his forehead looks like a reference to the crown of thorns and the long hair and short goatee are very Jesus coded. Plus yknow the cross shaped mouth.

What a chapter, so many things make sense now, and I think I even understand how blood techniques now after the explanation some chapter ago and how the count used his blood in this one.

I don't know how to word it right, but I think I can "see" how it works now, a little of its inner workings, it is like... the blood is just a medium, a catalyst where the power resides, for "human" users they can only use a single "element" in the blood and I think they mostly are limited to properties that are still connected to the "physical", with the exception of Klaus that is manipulating time (and Jyubei that is practically a monster), but BBs can twist the laws of nature with theirs.

There are still many things about that ability that need understanding, such as how the "elemental" inclusion is made, and who or what created some of the style in existence.

And with this chapter... if is official that the one-shot so many years ago is entirely canon, there are stages of transformation that need repeated bites, and Klaus is a half Blood Breed in the penultimate stage of transformation still.

As always Morzo Guazza team... there is few words that can describe how grateful I am for this fine confectionary.

I dont want to offend anyone, but with Nightow-sensei of the helm, and how this world of his works... well, ressurection after being killed, parting the ocean and all the other things... child's play for a BB.

Oh my god that was amazing, Klaus my boy, so much suffering and pain in his resurrection but he never gives up humanity in spite of it, never once putting his fist towards his family only against the BBs in his ascension

Huh, I didn't know the Law brothers were twins. As cool as it was to get Klaus's backstory canonised, I really like the little fact snippets at the end of the various characters.

Wasn't that basically implied by the King of Despair in the finale of the anime original plot in season 1 of the anime?

Well... I think he isn't canon, Black and all the plot around him was pretty much anime-exclusive.

Sure, the entity possessing him was a BB, but we don't know if that BB in particular is canon for Nightow.

With how much the anime deviated from the manga, best think at least those parts are all exclusive to that.

Edit: I just did a wiki search, at least there is confirmed that he is an anime-only.

Well... I think he isn't canon, Black and all the plot around him was pretty much anime-exclusive.

Sure, the entity possessing him was a BB, but we don't know if that BB in particular is canon for Nightow.

Oh I know the King of Despair is an anime-only character and may not even be considered “canon” to Nightow personally. The point that I was making was that despite being anime-only material, the King of Despair’s comments on how Klaus was basically the current incarnation of hope, and thus suggested a comparison of Klaus to Christ, fit very well with how Klaus is arguably given Christ like comparisons and imagery later in the manga too.

Also to note, the King of Despair and other Thirteen Kings aren’t Blood Breeds/vampires, they are demons/Beyondians (with the King of Despair specifically implied to have been Satan himself).

You may have gotten them mixed up with The Elder 13, which are are Blood Breeds/vampires, and was the number of Elder Blood Breeds Libra originally thought existed (though Leo ended up seeing there were actually far more in number).

the team spent a lot of time refining this chapter to make sure it turned out the best that it could be! It took a lot longer than the rest, but hopefully everyone is able to enjoy it all the same!


Very crazy to think the real reason the high class blood breeds are called the Elder 13 isn't because there's 13 of them, but that they're all beings that reached a level 13 transformation. The gore and everything in this chapter is genuinely so insane, I don't know how Nightow keeps topping the previous chapter every time....

damn, this is exactly the gore I need from vampire stories, but quite surprised this came from klaus. i know his story would be wild, but this gore.

does klaus ever remember about the friend? or do everyone not know the reason that elder turned klaus because he was dying?
