I wish this were the actual manga rather than a oneshot.
I want to go back to when this was what Kemono Jihen was. I want to go back before we got the backstory on the Kemono Incident (proper, singular) a thousand years ago, and back to a time when the title instead referred to the cast solving kemono incidents (common, plural) as a detective agency. I want to go back to before we had Robera, or Kaede, or the rest of Inari's servants other than Kon and Nobimaru.
It was a mistake for the manga to change direction. The old status quo was so much better. I'd even rather it had stuck with that, and kept going until it was stale and stagnant and past its prime until the series finally remembered Kabane's parents for one final arc at the end, rather than what we got.
