The wolf should have retreated immediately after taking out one of the carriages, and return to repeat the process only later. Facing the human supermages head-on is too costly; better to use guerrilla warfare and harass them until they're bled dry.

The story wants to be so serious about the devil threat, and then it just tosses in ass and panty shots liberally in between common people being maimed and murdered. It's been doing it forever but seriously, the tonal clash is just getting more and more awkward the further we get.

Whats up with telling soliders (they might me volunteer students, but they are still there to fight) that they can start fighting whenever in the middle of actual combat and giving the option of the alliance soliders to just leave at the first incident?

Either the governments and armies of this world are extremely incompetent or the author is just trash. Ima go with the later tbh, the events unfolding here make no sense when thinking of how to operate on an invasion from a standard army, even taking into account this is medieval times.

Power scaling in this series is so weird. MC can shoot beams through several mountains just by testing it out. He's creative enough to create invisibility magic by understanding the concept of light refraction. Clever enough to create a fucking spell that fold space itself and create teleport gates. So how is he struggling against a big wolf and rhino? Why attack it with a sword, instead of making spiked barrier around the carriage, or a sound at a frequency that can kill the dog but not affect humans?

The soldiers suffer one ambush by a rare, highly-powerful and intelligent enemy, lose like five-ten guys max, and now they're showing doubts?

Where the fuck is everyone's RESOLVE? Even these veteran soldiers are just total pussy crapouts?

It's the end of the world if you don't go out there and do something about it and they're considering going home because of a couple of dead soldiers? Ugh. Ughhhhh.

Yeah this story become more and more unrealistic every chapter, side character is not important at all the build up for them is half assed as well, rather focus on shin and co.
Its useless tho to complain because there too many things fells stupid from many chapters before

@OsoJr the problem is fine tuning the spell he create, and new speel need time to tuning them (well he did a lot of experience in the background that not showing up in manga) since this is real combat and everyone beside his group dont get the protection gear he make so if thing go wrong they will be dead meat too

Mushoku Tensei is the epitome of japanese isekai. It got everything, it also dont hold the reader back with bullshit and the MC is actually believable since he isnt the usual meta 6 star character from a gacha game.

On this one the author dont have a clue how to develop a character that already got everything on the power scale. But rejoice he isnt the only one.

And this is the problem, the usual isekai MC is a genious when developing new techniques to defeat the enemy but when it comes to use the same muscle to decipher and outsmart the "villains" all that buildup and image of a smart MC shatters.
