Their excuse for not using gate is garbage. Even if the rest can't handle them alone, they have tons of members, and like hell Shin's gonna lose to them. Just split them into two, have one force come from the royal capital. Even for the powerless knight team that they're worried about, you could still teleport to earlshide and look for them from there cause it's closer.

Even their comm device somehow doesn't work for.. I don't know what? But even if they still want to go with their dumb plan of pursuing them from one side, they don't actually need a comm device to inform the capital. Just zip in and out with gate to let the king know.

This manga always has bullshit excuses because they've already made their characters OP as fuck.

The people who are the worst at writing strong characters who are stronger than their environment are usually the ones who wind up getting to do it. It's ridiculously common in isekai to have a character who starts out as clearly the top of the food chain suddenly struggling against what should be mooks. Or their power is suddenly half as much as it was or less but everyone treats it as if it's the same as it always was.

Or they never use any creative attacks or techniques again, or are never as destructive as they were again, or they never use any clever magic beyond just pew pew lasers and fireballs or teleports. No one ever uses magic for mind-whammies, or spatial-fuckery, or fate-alteration, or time-manipulation...

Reason for no phones is that he didn't make enough to give to the army or the king. That much is at least understandable i suppose. From what i remember the phones require huge power sources for long distance communication. As for the gate yeah... their reasoning is stupid as fuck.

What the point bringing common soldier aside from showing their number and their leader ego? just bring the elite one so they can move faster and capital city more guarded.

What is this?
"War" = one-sided invasion?
Since when has "war" ever been such child's play?
Of course, the enemy makes counterattacks.
They should have been prepared for that from the start.
And any real country (even those back in middle ages) would have made preparations for that.
This is 100% once again an author trying to hype up the story while actually making it worse and dipping the story's quality into another pit.

Also "surprise" a castle / fort has hidden passages to allow important people to escape.
Honestly there is a f*cking prince amomg them who would definitely be aware of such hidden passages being somewhere because he was definitely told about the hidden passages in the castle he lives in.
So why did they not prepare for that?
