I didn't read any other works of this author (yet), but if they are as genius as this one I suppose I should bookmark them.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa is also peak. It's way more over-the-top bonkers, though; Kesa Mo Yuraretemasu is much more real slice-of-life. Jitsu wa Watashi wa reminds me of Seto no Hanayome actually, which is totally bonkers. So yeah, if you like this, try Jitsu wa, and if you like that, try Seto.

Probably because most slow-burn romances (even half-good ones) use infuriating and unimaginative tropes in order to keep the burn slow. And then when the ax shows up, they resolve everything with a two-chapter ending where one of the MCs finds out that they're moving away, and so everything gets wrapped up with a lazy confession. The end.
