This was good stuff. A lot of complicated feelings and interesting situations they've been put in it. I'm glad this series has avoided doing what most of these romances do, which is to never have their characters do anything genuinely disagreeable or debatable.

That'll be a bit foreign to some and in others it'll cause some issues and disagreement but that's why I respect her for doing it even more. Real flaws rather than "I'm so bad because I love too much," or something. I'm glad she has enough confidence in herself to write this. I'm intrigued. Should be fun moving forward.

It's all the benefit of not knowing what happened with the band. We're finding out through actions (or inactions) how much Mitsuki's been affected and damaged by that separation--how that separation has highlighted and exacerbated other long held insecurities. A domino effect. It's cool. I think there's more to add but I don't feel like a super longer response at the moment. Just a lot of confidence coming from Sumiko here. It'll be so satisfying when they overcome this, however they do.

Wouldnt even be surprised if the authors goals is that they get into a fight about this, break up and them Aya will go and have sex with the other girl, to get comfort after the break up…

Well anyway if they start being with any of the other characters that the author have forced into this NTR/Break up route then it will truly kill the story and become a 1/10, which is really sad

That's a tough pattern to break yourself out of. This goes beyond "just talk to your girlfriend and get your problems off your chest." It's in the territory of "Spend months, years, challenging your thoughts until the negative ones don't automatically pop up." And those negative thoughts can be tough to dislodge- like convincing someone the sky is red or gravity pulls you up.

One of them was literally above your comment, which makes me feel like you're choosing to just be mad that it's not the "fluff" you wanted and that the author's doing something complex that addresses some of the long-running core character flaw issues that have pervaded the series.

Actually read the comment thread and you'll find genuine analysis of what's happening and why, and where it might be leading.

Or keep being upset like others that "oh no she's just not talking" and thinking that it's somehow not realistic or in character, even going back to the high school period.

Wow Mitsuki: way to assume your drunk as heck girlfriend is in any state to be held accountable for her actions! It was YOUR decision to close yourself of to music. It was YOUR decision to believe the only thing you had left to offer Aya was your body. And it’s YOUR decision to not talk about it. Aya is basically respecting your wishes, regardless of whether or not they’re good ones.

I know they’re basically still kids, but grow the heck up! If you aren’t going to put up a fight then this battle was over before it even began, and the only combatant was yourself!
