I agree. I think they're both just entities with some kind of admin privilege to the game, and that's why they have a similar energy to them. Personally my theory is that the shadow people are game devs trying to "fix bugs", while the monster (which to me looks like a brain with a spine, and nerves as tentacles) is some kind of slaved AI (a literal digital brain) that keeps the game world running but wants to break free. My theory then means all the NPCs are either 1. More minor AI, and FL is being used as a pawn by the "monster" to break free from its constraints, or 2. All the NPCs are simply subroutines of the "monster", basically you could see each one is at the end of a nerve-tentacle, and FL has simply become partially aware of it without fully understanding the connection.I feel like the two entities being the same is a bit off. It's possible the characters are wrong. I think it's more where the shadow originated from, rather than being the same thing as the monster. Dunno, that's just my thoughts.
I'm thinking that maybe the shadow creature is controlling/pretending to be Senior Brother and wants her to kill the head monster because it's getting in his way.I feel like the two entities being the same is a bit off.
