Just got here; late to the party. I wonder is they'll utilize Nomoto's death in an interesting way if Hitomi is going to be a recurring character. It would be interesting to her "Honey Badger don't give a f***" persona to take a back seat in some non-combat story scenes to "why did I murder this acquaintance without hesitation? Are the systems I exist in fulfilling me as a [human] or exploiting me as an [animal]?"
M.C. McEveryman wasn't exactly an exceptionally compelling character, but I hope they do something interesting the fact that he had to die. And while I don't imagine this series will swerve into something more thoughtful going forward, I can always naively hope.
