Kinda got an NTR vibe at the end of the chapter from Hitomis face. I can’t explain it but that look of surprise is pure gold

pettiness as won over common sense. i hope everyone at fault will understand their mistakes when consequances hit so this setback won't happen again, but i'm not very optimistic.

Are you referring to the removal of that thing that passes as a translation? I consider myself very lax about quality. Poor grammar? No problem. No typesetting/redrawing? I can live with that. LQ scans? Lowest among my list of priorities. However, that thing was bordering on rewrite territory. So many lines were obviously mistranslated, based on context alone. It reminds me of the infamous "mass naked child event".

If it is to be allowed on the site, it should come with a warning that the translation is very subpar, and has significant misinterpretations of the original text. Tagging it as an English translation is misrepresentation, because it isn't a translation.

it was a translation because it got most of the meanings across and it did come with a warning. anything else?

While there is a reason this site has a group dropdown menu for alternate translations I'm not sad about seeing a machine translation go

Yes, when you will read the 'official' pirate's translation you will gain little new knowledge regading what was happening because you got most of what happened from the removed translation. we can wait for their translation and you will see you indeed got most of the meaning from the 'fake' translation already.

But you know what? prove me wrong. when their translation comes, show me something that happens that due to mistranslation did not come trough in the removed one. I will be waiting.

....that's going to take a lot of time, because so many things are wrong. It might just be faster to list the ones that are correct. I'll do it when i have the time.

I guess one life lesson that the second arc of Killing Bites can teach people is to never judge someone by their appearance. While they may look weak, you might end up getting headbutted in the stomach.

Liked this chapter (36), "gender, size (and species) don't matter, the one with the sharpest fangs wins".
Gender, size and species actually do matter, it's just that "an advantage is just an advantage, it doesn't mean that you'll win", "the only thing you need to know about low probability is.. it's not zero.".

Well, in the end, both translations wrote "Eruza" instead of "Elsa".

While it may be understandable for a speed-translation made by a (I assume) newcomer, it's hard to justify for a group that's been translating this series for far longer and had already spelled the name as "Elsa" in the past (see chapter 10 page 31).

Just saying.

Despite my complaining, I'm actually quite happy about the translation. I also don't see much wrong about the previous speed translation. It may have been low quality and full of mistakes, but I've seen far, far worse, believe me.
Things like: https://mangadex.org/manga/3226/melty-blood-x

It's hard to fault any translation after seeing that kind of shit. If you leave "moshi moshi" and "neko" in the translation, you might as well just release the raws instead.

Re: Eruza vs Elsa - It's the difference between translators, sorta like how some prefer "sempai" over "senpai." It's not completely wrong, more of a style choice. I left it as is for the time being for that reason.

@Nolonar:
I know that feeling, i was pretty annoyed when Schere from Akame ga Kill got renamed even though it was very obvious what her name was supposed to be, regardless of the authors terrible romanization
