Internet cafe maybe? How does one v-tube as a runaway?
Wasn't it "A programmer at a big company"? I mean, to be a programmer in a big company nowaday is not as easy as you would like to think. But to be fair, the rank of the programmer can really varies, from "The company can't run without you" to "You're just another skilled labor."I was surprised that they gossiped about him specifically for being a programmer like it was such a prestigious job,
and not just "he used to be an employee at a big company"

with how good just nowadays camera filters in smartphones,That was better than I was expecting.
But if she's been a runaway for several days ... is she streaming from the "internet cafes & karaoke places"???

Fair.well....
I hate to say, but I'm in Japan,

i do both on a daily basis, there's a fairly important system that would probably fail were i not here to take care of it but there's another system that we also work on that probably wouldn't even hitch if i were gone lmaoWasn't it "A programmer at a big company"? well, I wouldn't say that it is not respectable or anythingis programming not considered a respectable job over there?
i mean, i knew japan stigmatises about the weirdest of things, but that just straight up seems illogical with how sought-after it is here in the west.
people here make no distinction in how they treat engineers vs programmers (if anything programmers are held at slightly higher regard lol), most people mentally just lump programmers in together with engineers, well, I wouldn't say that it is not respectable or anything
(I haven't really met any Japanese who dissed me for that)
it's just that I feel easier to just say that I am a Software Engineer or System Engineer because it's in my job title
I don't think your job title will be a programmer unless you are a contract (temp) job
and even if I were one, if I were to introduce myself to my girlfriend's family, much less her uncle, I would've just say I'm an engineer in this so-and-so company
haha, yeah, I also used to just say I'm a programmer back in my home, just because it's shorter to saypeople here make no distinction in how they treat engineers vs programmers (if anything programmers are held at slightly higher regard lol), most people mentally just lump programmers in together with engineers,
