isn't Clover more probably the guy that Uchi saved at the start of Middle School, the one that got saved looked at him resentful?? like author has been hinting at him and we still don't know sh!t about him, crazy part is how the f*ck does he know about time travel, like that isn't enough information at all.

I know. I don’t know why everybody keeps saying an alternate Yotsuba or a future Uichi.
Both bring about paradoxes that are too contrived to work. I also have a theory that maybe Uichi couldn’t save a precious pet of the elementary/middle school classmate. Maybe they had a rough time at home or something and said pet was their only solace.

But because of something Uichi said or was unable to do, the pet died and now this guy blames Uichi to a staggering and terrifying degree. Despite Uichi only wanting to be a vet, and not be qualified to help or give animal medical advice.

We don’t have a reason why Uichi would want to ruin his and his families’ life, and he killed himself originally so how is he also the mastermind?

With all the time travel, it’s possible there’s some evil Yotsuha from another timeline who wants to hurt Uichi for some reason, but she would be aware of the watch and have been targeting it from the start. It seems like whoever is doing this JUST found out it existed from this chapter.

What's interesting is that Clover seems to have already been aware of Yotsuha's rewinding of time or at least aware of its possibility and connected the idea when they found out about the watch.

If they knew nothing, just hearing about the watch wouldn't be enough to figure out what it does. On the contrary, they seemed not only suspicious of Yotsuha's "perfect runs", but ready to accept a supernatural answer and connect it to time travel specifically. Even the wording seems to imply that they already knew she had the power and just didn't know the source of it.

It seems likely that Clover has either experienced time travel themselves (or knows someone who has) or they are aware of the timeline changes by Yotsuha in some way. I hesitate to say that they are also able to time travel currently (at least not in a similar way to Yotsuha) or she would else meet a lot more resistance to her plans and a lot more unpredictable changes to the timeline in response to her own. Them being somehow aware of the time travel or at least having some other power that would easily tick them off as to what she's doing probably makes more sense (at least if Clover isn't the brother who already knows about the time travel, but that doesn't feel like the answer).

Considering how DIY the origin of Yotsuha's power is it's not unreasonable that someone like Clover equally determined and emotionally charged as Yotsuha was when she wanted to save Uichi would also develop a power to help them achieve that. Also, considering that Yotsuha received a power that was more or less exactly what she need to achieve her goal, it's likely that Clover also received a power fitting to their goal. Some kind of clairvoyance that allows them to know who to use to take down Uichi and potentially also to be able to realise that the timeline has changed could be possible. Even then I guess it might be somewhat time-themed, i.e. seeing the future, past or alternative timelines.

Alternatively, they have the same or a similar power, but their time device already broke like Yotsuha's is going to. In a way, this may be the most thematically fitting option that also makes sense of the data we currently have.

Sure, if we’re just making things up then I guess?

When did Uichi get time travel, why wouldn’t he think to just…stop himself, why does he NEED to kill himself? Why does his family also have to suffer?

It makes even less sense with Yotsuha, for mostly the same reasons.

That’s not even getting into the time paradox shit. If there are two Uichi’s or Yotsuha’s time traveling and occupying the same time line, why aren’t there INFINITE numbers of them trying to change the timeline at the same time?

I hope Yotsuha frames them for something so they can be commited for life to a mental institution, because short of murding their whole family, I cant see why anyone would go this far to ruin someones life. Also how does he know abut the time traveling? Nothing they could have been told would reveal that unless they are also able to mess with time in a similar fashion or maybe they're immune to the effects, otherwise it's an insane leap in logic.

Remember they said there were a couple of myths about the four leaf clover it is a clover of good luck, revenge and something todo with time and the kid isn’t an idiot he’d find it suspicious that she some how has all the solutions to his plans it makes the most sense to think she’s playing with time
