Holy shit yall just be fuckin hating everything it's insane.

First of all, she's 16. No matter how smart being a 16 yo, she's still a 16 yo, who i might also add lost her beloved parent in the most fucked up way as possible. Hell even when it's less fucked up, losing a parent at a young age could still affect them greatly.

Second of all, hatred can be a strong drive for someone so much they would trap themselves in a tunnel vision. Sure she might able to see some things a different way in a different light, but she can't see it cuz she's looking from a different angle.

Third of all, the whole journey and reveal has been great. It all kinda makes sense and might i add alluded early on. Sure it can be overkill sometimes but it's not Telenovela/Bollywood bs type of reveal (no offense).

Idk, from the spoilers i see, the ending is kinda lacking but it's still better than Erase's so yeah...

A firm reminder that you can’t write super-intelligent characters if you’re of average intelligence. Lmao
No, this is a pretty good representation. The feeling of alienation is real, and so is the emotionally-driven refusal to entertain certain perspectives or to let go of others.

FFS genius you never show it to her.
This IMO is the worst thing her father did, both to his (first) daughter, and to himself... the decision and advice to pretend to be a different type of person. He should have found a woman who could appreciate his true self to marry... then Fu-chan wouldn't have been rejected by her own mother.

It seems like everyone just assumed that he killed himself because he was gonna get busted for the affair but that wasn't how I interpreted it at all. I'm probably just completely wrong but it seems like he was too much of a sociopath to really care all that much about it at the end of the day. Especially since he was so fixated on his loneliness and admits that despite his prosperous and successful life he was still lonely through it all. This and that his only respite was projecting Kazuha onto Futaba because she was the only person he felt truly loved him and that he could love. If you look at the previous chapter pages 12-15 pretty much state this oughtright, that he kept wanting to return to Kazuha despite his research and societal obligations and basically used Futaba to stave off his hunger pangs. That's why when he saw Yotsuha it felt like being shown all the true happiness he had been denied. That if he had been more honest with himself and pursued Kazuha regardless of the repurcussions, he could have lived with a woman he loved with a child that was theirs and all his desires could have been fulfilled. That's why when he says "if only you hadn't been born," he was actually refering to Yotsuha, because if Yotsuha had never been born and thrust under his nose he could have lived under the delusion of Futaba filling the hole in his heart and neglect the fact that he was actually unhappy all along. The reason why he killed himself wasn't his guilt over the affair, but his grief that he hadn't lived a happy life with Kazuha and Yotsuha. Perhaps I'm reading too deep into it but I think his character is too extreme to just be a generic "uh oh" blackmain into suicide like the story wants you to think based on Kazuha's plan.

And as a side note Futaba's actions make perfect sense. She's not stupidly being manipulated, she's letting herself be stupidly manipulated. Because her entire world was built around her father and if she finds out even his love was a lie she'll be in exactly the same place as he was when he killed himself. It's avoidance and denial as a survival strategy.

Nah her so called "intelligent mind" broke after knowing that she's just a substitute to that psycho bih. Those geniuses always turn yandere when their mind got wrecked. Superior mind? more like a dumb bih.

Out of fairness. Her father never really TOLD HER to kill or ruin Yosuha's life, only that she "loves the real him DESPITE all the revelations he just revealed."

Futuba "on her own", twisted that love into wanting revenge on Yosuha as a DRIVE to continue living and what she THOUGHT was avenging him! He was selfish in killing himself because he left THAT Trauma on her (Fucked up thing is in her DESIRE for revenge, she was able to PLAY OUT IN A SIMILAR SCENE with Uichi and Yosuha back in the first timeline, the latter seeing the former in a "not so flattering light" as the hope he always had was gone as he was slowly giving into despair before TRULY falling into it when he unintentionally made her cry in fear)

But we know how this ends.....if the time travel never happened, if Uichi died, Yosuha would have given up the ghost, I doubt she'd survive the Heart Surgery or even MAKE IT to that date.....and once she knows she died in despair....once she FINALLY has time to think on her actions. Futuba will NOT move on! She will remember the lines she crossed to get the result she wanted. Even if she's a psychopath who saw both Uichi and Yosuha as a "Means to an end" and convince herself that "they were never really friends because they never knew the true her" and that "Uichi had to die, it was the only way by her calculations to hurt Yosuha as I was hurt" to completely erase any guilt of what she did to them (convincing herself that "the bond" was one sided on THEIR END so she doesn't feel ANYTHING of what she did)

She still doesn't have her father.....and since she made hurting those two (to hurt ONE of them) her entire existence and their gone now....she's left with the despair she had BEFORE she hyper focused on Yosuha....I can't NOT see her "finishing what she was about to do to herself before she read her father's final farewell" now NOTHING stopping her now!

Worse thing is she would NEVER BLAME KAZUHA NO MATTER WHAT since her father "loved her" she's doing nothing but blaming Yosuha for everything SHE DID

I'd throw at her that if not for HER, Uichi's sister wouldn't have wrecked her own life following "her advice" and in essence, this likely WOULD have assured his mother didn't have her breakdown and cling to him to "Remain perfect" so she didn't have to face reality that there was a problem (Screw his Sperm Donor, the man is useless, Amazingly Futuba had NOTHING to do with him LOL)

She can't blame Yui on Yosuha since that sick pup determined her as "his" based on his OWN insane troll logic. He'd have likely done the same with any other GIRL in Yosuha's situation as "deserving to be his" because of that insane troll logic of his

It makes me laugh how much LIKE Kazuha she is despite the woman NOT being her biological mother, difference is she only kept people around for the sake of her addiction to despair and face expressions! While I don't think Futuba sees them as anything but PAWNS for her wishes

He killed himself because he realized that Kazuha was going to destroy everything. His standing, his fame, his simple ability to do his research (since he depends on funding and support from his father-in-law), all could come crashing down when his infidelity is revealed. His life is built on his work and all of his "bonds" are built on the image he'd maintained, so losing that would mean losing everything. Chances are he'd even lose Futaba since if there was a divorce his wife would likely get custody.

Futaba wants revenge on Yotsuha because of what she read and what she heard her father say. Her father "loved" Kazuha and saw Futaba as a replacement, so it's probably a little difficult to hate her. On the other hand the last thing she heard her father say was "if only she hadn't been born", thoroughly cementing Yotsuha as the cause. And she wants to drive Uichi to suicide because her rage is just that deep: killing Yotsuha would just eliminate her, but wouldn't bring their father back. Nothing will fill the void in her heart, so rather than just erase her, she wants to drag her into the same hell. Misery loves company, and who better to share her misery with than the one she feels caused it.
Yet objectively kazuha never loved him at all, she just loved the idea of torturing him and many others, he is just another one on her list. And she did because at that point she likes destroying beautiful people despite the father being quite the sick individual to begin with. That is why I said I think the author lost track of her twists.
And if he was so in love with kazuha and had a child with her he could leave his wife and remarry if he still thought this was the love of his life, or even keep working and ask his wife for forgiveness she seems clueless enough, or leave both his wife and daughter which he doesnt seem to care about anyway. In any case it isn t something that breaks a scientist‘s career. Never heard of grants removed because of an affair, especially for the genius of the century.
And even then the target should be kazuha not yotsuha, yotsuha didnt even know her mother for most of her life, she would never have been a threat unless her mother tried to use her as one, and it ended before she could have been used in that fashion because her mother was murdered, which proves the logical target was the mother.

I mean honestly by that point futaba is like 10 years old, she is already a genius mind that can effortlessly manipulate those around her, she already knows yotsuha and uichi are two clueless kids, and so could her father manipulate people as well. Yet her father couldn t deal with some meaningless infidelity and killed himself before anything even happened, while the daughter chose a 10 year plan of slowly increasing bullying into suicide of a child’ Sweetheart. you need to have a massive suspension of disbelief in two opposite directions for two characters who supposedly are pretty similar to each other

Both Kazuha and Fu's father believed that she loved him, though you and I may disagree with them. From her perspective, she loves everyone, and that's why she wants to see everyone suffer. From his perspective, she's the most alluring woman he's ever met (due to her supernatural charm trait), and she was powerfully drawn to him (due to her sadistic personality). Whether her love for him was real or imagined is of no consequence because the result is the same either way.

You have to remember that this story is set in Japan, which has different standards for behaviors and consequences than other parts of the world.

He was probably able to deduce Kazuha's intentions and killed himself to thwart them.

Now that the translation has reached this point I can say that Futaba really is an idiot and scum, completely punishing the wrong people for what they had no control over when they really wanted to be friends with her.

It's beyond frustrating after all this crap she gets forgiven in the end and because a new loop happens her "present" self doesn't have to live with the shit she did.
Well i the new loop that Futaba wasn't a total pyscho at the time Uichi turned back
