Funny enough, I always saw Akou as a more angry Duke Hyou. I expect him to at the very least scare Riboku here.

We can say that falling for bait is pretty dumb, but all that depends on what are you baiting, because I would call dumb to someone that is trying to bait a crocodile or a raging bear.

Sometimes it is part of the strategy. In history some real good tactical generals could only shine because they had headstrong subordinates that gave oomph and initiative to the overly cautious personality of the leader.

And we know for sure that Ousen is the kind of general that takes his time to move.

I mean, that is exactly how the Hi Shin Unit works, and the same strategy that Riboku used to kill OuKi (it worked).
