I know its a partial but I feel like this isn't a good start. So basically FMC is shunned cause she's up herself? This isn't reincarnation either so this kinda setup is weird as she'll never be able to get into social spheres as she's already completely ghosted. Also those parents are retarded to not see how spoiled she has been.

That's an interesting start; thank you for half-a-chapter.

We often see spoiled girls in villainous mangas. But not one to be corrected by society from the get-go. Let us see where this is going!

That's not correction. Sure, the girl is spoiled, and has a overbearing personality, but to act like that towards her from the get-go is nothing but bullying. None of these people know anything about her, and act like she's a monster. No one normal would do this. But I guess in Otome anything goes.

Also, if I was the father, I would slap the brother for acting like that. Your sister is more important than some random kid.

Oh, yeah. I remember this one.
She was bullied out of social circles and unable to form any sort of connection with the country nobility until school years. It was so severe that she really believed the princess would make her a commoner, so she tried to prepare herself for it. The webnovel is somewhat short, at least for the school arc.
Well, at least her parents are on her side.

I might have worded that poorly, villainesses in manga tend to act however they want without repercussion until they either get "reborn" or punished by the usual "breaking engagement" etc trope.

However here we see from the get-go that she's disliked by her peers and that's a first among manga I've read so far. So I am curious to see where it goes!

Ah, so she was set up to fail then. Parents spoiler her too much. Poor girl.

So I've ended up reading the short WN, the link to the novelupdates page is still in my earlier comment on this thread. If you can sit your butt down for a few hours, you can probably binge through it all in one sitting.

For something I haven't seen being adapted into an LN yet, I'll be curious to see if the manga adaptation will do the story a little differently here. Minor spoilers in the following:

In short, it wasn't so dramatized where people have lost lives, but people's lives have been ruined and/or drastically altered, and I wouldn't blame anyone being traumatized if they were in the FMC's position. This is also one of the very rare cases where you kind of sympathize with the main instigator that caused this plot in the first place, as yes, they will receive their due consequences, but ... holy crap, if you thought anyone would be broken if put in FMC's shoes, this one would crush anyone's 'brokeness' into dust. I would not wish for such a fate on anyone. They'd be much better off be put out of their misery than live the rest of their life like that, and I don't usually suggest such a thing even if it was a last resort.

Still, it's one of those things where, ironically, the sequence of events could have been better left off if the instigator just didn't involve themselves in the first place. On the other hand, however, if they really wish for a true 'happy ending,' they'd try to involve themselves with the FMC in a much more proactive and completely opposite direction of what they did here, but they were at fault for perceiving these events in a particular perspective than what's really happening, so ... better to turn your gaze away from that dark bit of the plot and be happy for how the FMC had turn out despite all the hardship she has been through.

Again, with all that in mind, I'll be very curious if they do this differently here without adapting in the LN first. Will continue to keep an eye on this manga.
