well, in some case, yes..

there's a case like Kyouko Hori (from Horimiya) that's quite an "s" but have an "m" tendency when she's with Miyamura (her boyfriend)

I wouldn't say become, I believe it's more that she found out a side of herself she never experienced before.
And in theory s and m are just different things that fits well together it's not a one or the other type of thing, you can be one, both or none. It's just that seeing 2 people together with both is quite rare and even then there's generally still a preference toward one side

One of my favorite moments was when Miyamura did the abusive boyfriend thing in front of his old classmates, and accidentally scared them since they considered Hori at the top of the hierarchy.
