Man, looking at this guy keeps frustrating me about where this story is going.

Spoiler: Novel translation spoilers

So I read all the way up until where the translation stopped, which is way further on then where we're at. And by that I mean we still haven't had the huge disaster that actually threatens everyone's lives and of course our MC single handedly easily solves it and saves the sage boy here again, to which we then got sidetracked into a lengthy flashback that details how somehow these two were the bestest of best of friends... And have been stuck in that flashback for multiple chapters. It got boring and completely deviated from the main premise of the story. It felt like very heavy handed attempt at retcons.

Mind you, I read the translation of the novel ages ago, so my memories of the details are vague. But last I checked last year, there was still no updates on any newer chapters of the novel. No clue if it got axed, if it got indefinitely hiatus, if the author just ran out of ideas, or if the translators just ran out of interest like I did as a reader.
