• have next to no input lag (so wired controllers is a must)
• The controllers have to be durable as hell to keep them from breaking from dragon strength AND speed of the inputs
• can only played locally for no lag
• have to render at the max frames per second that the top-of-the-line GPUs and monitors can provide to keep up with dragon sight

It's unfeasible from the hardware alone lmao. I think the closest we could get to seeing that in reality is watching a pro FG match at 10-100x speed.

Any time the story wants to tackle something different it has to switch POV characters. Kobayashi's life if she never met Tohru would genuinely be depressing as fuck.

No, I think we can do it. We definitely have the processing power crank the old 2D fighters up to 1000 fps or higher. Displays, well, there's nothing on the market obviously, but we literally have cameras that do over a million fps. Displays are just cameras in reverse.

Controllers, I think the limiting factor is the mechanical properties of the controller, like how long it takes the stick to return to neutral or the buttons to release. So just make one with no moving parts. Like, it could even run on pure electricity (Kanna could do it).
