I like how Take despite being the responsible one occasionally makes things worse. It not only makes Take and Ilulu’s relationship feel more balanced as it’s not just Ilulu making things hard for him. But also shows that Taketo a still has room to grow. And can’t yet handle the dragons absurdity like Kobayashi can. He’s too inexperienced and too impulsive. It makes things more interesting.
