Oh my god I'm so in love with the art. Such a comfy series.
Loved how Kana was intimidated and still found the courage to fight for her crush despite the power imbalance.

You should read Horimiya.

Great chapter to flesh out the friend group and show more of Sayama's interactions with her class. I'm not sure how long I'll continue to enjoy the "unaware beautiful class princess" shtick that's going on, but it hasn't overstayed its welcome yet.

Although they take a step back from the implied romantic pairing by showing the mother's threat, the chapter's underlying driving motivation plus the ending scene both revolve around Sayama's unconscious interest in him. And he called her cute. Only one year until she stops being a minor, I suppose, but I wonder what the intended timeframe of this series is. Will it eventually continue into her university or working life or remain perpetually frozen in the high school timeframe like most manga with this setting?

Excellent recommendation, but I already read it. Doesn't stop the art style from getting me going again every time though!

At least the ice queen reputation has already been thawing this few chapters in. Generally this kind of shtick tends to stick around for way longer in order to keep the relationship with the MC somewhat exclusive.

More than the purely romantic side of things from her side, as in her first crush, I think he's got a "big brother" role to play here by helping her navigate interpersonal relationships in general and the world of people her own age. It's too early to tell but maybe that's the series' angle here.

What is the "it" that the rest of the people in the class referring to in page 31, panel 1 with the "So that's what it was!!!" thought bubble. I assume it's related to how MC behaves and how they were interpreting it, but I haven't seen anything so far that would indicate her actions were particularly weird.

So it seems like shou chan is an innocent guy who thinks of umi as a little sister and wont try to do nefarious stuff, but umi is gonna come onto him. Unsure if that makes the age gap less weird...

She doesn't talk to anyone and has a solid poker face in class when spoken to. Her classmates assumed she wasn't interested in idle conversation or making friends, but she revealed here that she simply doesn't have much experience being social.

English isn't my first language but isn't it the other way?
I thought it was you reap (collect/harvest) what you sow (grow/planted) or is it sowing is tiring and doesn't yield the crops and reap is collecting the rewards so sow is bad?
Your first guess is correct - sowing would be the "fuck yeah awesome", reaping would be the "oh god no why".

At least generally speaking that's the case, maybe there's something singular to their comment that I'm also missing.

If they actually meant to format it that way, the context is probably that they're the translator of the series, and that they LOVE reading the chapter (the reaping) but HATE having to translate it (the sowing)

Of course, this is only if they didn't mess the order up.

The series is called "It's not quite love yet," but she is clearly in love with him. I mean, I guess the title kind of counts in Chapter 1, but in Chapter 3, it's not that applicable.
I think it refers to the fact that she thinks "it's not quite love yet", also remember the "but"
