I love this boss. Probably shouldn’t, but I love him (even though he is clearly playing favorites and is terrible for the overall morale). Those two soldiers at the end though... jeez. If they made that mistake with a super villain that was actually evil.... well I just hope they have good health insurance..... and life insurance. They aren’t going to last long in an evil organization with remarks like that.
On a much more serious note: One of the things I hate the most is the invisible and very visible pressures society and worse, our friends and family put on us to control who we are. It’s your life; you should be able to do what you damn well please. I hate families that make it feel impossible to make your own decision. They don’t need to be proud no matter what you do (though it would be nice to have a family that is genuinely just happy if you’re alive), but at least don’t guilt someone into a career they don’t want. Two decades of your life are pretty much gone before it even starts anyway, and most people will die between 60-80 (okay, I’m too lazy to look up the actual avg life expectancy, so I’m ballparking it). Regardless of how long you live, your body won’t let you do want you want after a while, and then you just never know what could happen (accidents, injuries, death, etc). I just hate the thought of people wasting their entire lives not doing what they wanted because they wanted to society or their family/friends (probably both) like them.
