I have a love-hate relationship with this story. My perfect ending would be for Souta to end up alone and Mame to end up with a brand new character or alone and no longer in his or his daughter’s life. Is it really happiness to end up with a guy that makes her 5th priority? I always felt like he didn’t really appreciate her, and her position in his life is always dependent on a third party. How can she feel safe with that? Is she always going to have to make sure to appease his daughter, be second to his wife, and be second to her sister? Idk.
