So, yeah. Morons everywhere.
All kinds of them.

We’re not all morons. Cishets aren’t all morons.
All morons are loud, though.
Don't worry, I get it. That's why you didn't see me explicitly say "trans ppl" and just said more vague terms (though I can see how it can be misinterpreted, my bad I guess)

I have friends who date trans ppl and I really don't mind. It's just that the terminally online ones are so damn obnoxious. Similarly, I am very vocal about how I hate "yuritards," but I have lesbian friends and family that I still love. Really, it's all the internet's fault for allowing people to get this annoying lol.

edit: "those" ppl also have the tendency to dumb emoji any comment that opposes them, as seen below

Terminally online anyones are the worst.
I don’t even use the word “lesbian” anymore, because these people won’t know I mean that I’m a woman and only attracted to women. I say “homosexual woman” or “dyke”.
They clutch their pearls. “Homosexual is TERFy!” has been said to me.
I’m over here feeling just like I do when some other Jew says something in support of The State of Israel. 😬🤐🙄
I support my people, everywhere. Not everything they do (I have VERY mixed feelings about Ultra-Orthodox communities, for example).
That mess is a mistake I didn’t make. (to You know who you are don’t reply to any of the above you’re on ignore anyway)

on the other side you have people who are in other echo chambers who will unironically call reality “3D” (cue the guy who said that only otakus can criticise manga, and all yuri tropes are good, always. He then started being homophobic. Creepy. Liked manga with “sweet home Alabama age is just a number” let’s say.) or say “foids“ and don’t know basic biology.
Or antivaxxers. flat earthers. Q-anon.

I say just call all of them “chronically online morons”, unless absolutely necessary. No need to divide them into subgroups. That way lies “I couldn’t use a pride flag if I wanted to because if it faded in the sun it would mean something else there are so many”. I wish I could at all engage with queer groups of people. It used to be awkward with how horny it was. Now it’s awkward because I have no idea what anyone is talking about because it’s a circle-jerk of words that they have removed all meaning from…

”egg” is vague at best in that post. It comes off as antagonistic, but I chose to seek explanation because a lot of these problems come from needless classifications and pejoratives causing conflict.
What are they doing? Being stupid and working against their own interests, and making others look bad. Talk shit about the actions. I do (see above).

I don’t have social media. I have these comments sections, mainly to drop single quips/puns or leave friggin essays on Harusono manga... or ish like this., and YouTube comments which I try so hard to not use but end up doing anyway.
At least I only watch like 5 channels. All my knowledge of memes comes from my kid (zoomer/alpha memes are completely incomprehensible, because I am old) and Click videos.
I like his voice and we have the same sense of humour. Occasionally I suddenly get an influx of cursed “I am a specific type of person furry vtuber reading echo chamber memes” channels as a result, but “not interested, don’t recommend channel“ fixes that.
What I was I talking about? The coffee isn’t working yet.

but I gotta say “I have a X friend” is kinda facepalmy. It doesn’t really say anything about yourself one way or the other.
My first thought was “oh, do they listen to Metallica? I don’t.” Just another non-sequitur, why not?
I’ve had racist and capitalist friends, but it doesn’t make me ok with racism or capitalism. “Dude, are you serious? The crime rate in my home town ranked when the population shifted to Mexicans and black people.“ “Where did you hear that? Sweden is doing really well. …no, Norway is a bad example. They’re a gold farm. Also fuck them for expelling my grandma.”
(Now I have the song ”middle class socialist brat” in my head. I actually AM poor.)
I’m not mad, but just chuckling. Leave it out next time 😜

Tbf with the Otokonoko Senpai one, iirc cause I haven't read it in a long time(never watched the anime), I'm pretty sure there was a whole ark about the MC questioning their identity and about whether they wanted to be a girl or just wear cute clothes, and from what I remember that ark ended with the MC basically saying they didn't know and just wanted to live as themselves.
That… makes the title confusing.
I dislike when things aren’t what they say on the tin.
“Bacon bits” are kosher, because they’re not bacon so I WAS EATING WORSE SALAD FOR YEARS BECAUSE IT DOESN’T SAY “BACON-FLAVORED”! I will never get over that.

But its a title told from the viewpoint of another character at the start and how she saw Makoto after being told they were amab. To her Makoto was her "crossdressing sempai" right then.

A title saying Makoto was, more or less, nonbinary(or just still unsure) wouldnt have made much sense at the start.

I read that manga way back but dropped it when it went into a flashback arc with the guy with the earrings (someone liked me saying “NOPE…” ON CH 101 the other day) I think that was some bonus something? I don’t know.

I vaguely remember that ending to the main story, though...

So, yeah. The title is still… Bacon bits. “Yeah, but no.”
”Bacon cheeseburger“ with soy based “meats” and American “cheese”. Tasty. Not what it says on the tin.
(I gotta make me some of those. Only kosher bacon cheeseburger worth eating)

Geez the arc what with the dating of the earring boy was rough! The whole thing was… a lot. All around.
70% less angst than Hourou Musuko but that’s still a lot of angst.
(H.M. was formationally important to me, but on reread it’s just a mess of increasingly-damaged people barely getting through to adulthood and ultimately living lives they didn’t really want to. You know, a Shimura manga.
Except Anna, who just wins. Cute girlfriend, successful career she always liked, no trauma. Nitori has to keep their relationship secret and works a “night job” in a wig. Takatsuki… sucks. Phoney coward, increasingly both. Even Shimura doesn’t know Takatsuki’s gender, but we all know they suck. But are gonna be rich while sucking.)

I think we vaguely agree on your unsolicited opinions on the politics of optics but no one wants your spam. You're precisely the terminally online weirdo you spend thousands of words writing about. Seek professional help.
No one required you to read anything.

Yes, I’m really verbose. I don’t know how to be terse. It’s a problem. My teachers would give me high marks on an essay, then chastise me for how much they had to read.
I’ve been told it’s the autism.

I say better too much information than too little, as I don’t how if we agree on “politics of optics” because that’s a vague term in-and-of itself. I don’t even know what you’re agreeing with or disagreeing with.

I’m literally only online to read manga and watch Click videos. I haven’t been on social media otherwise in years. The YouTube channels I watch dwindled and my ignore list here grew between then and now because of people freaking out one way or another.

My time is generally spent playing strategy games and watching horror movies/reading horror novels, not browsing the internet.

Having opinions doesn’t require social media.

Seek help.
You don’t know what “spam” means.
You literally started a conversation.
You’re not very good at trolling.
You care enough about me to make me 20% of your conversations on this site in 4 years. No, thanks. I’m taken.
You’re now invisible.🫥

See, over-exuberant trans youths? 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️ to get your attention.
These are the people you attract when you start in with this stupid, gender-normative stuff.
People that dislike clarity, seek conflict, and respond to any advice with annoyance at best. I try to be neutral to them as much as possible m because when I tried meeting hostility with kindness it got no response, because they want a fight.

We don’t need to cave to them or accommodate them, but we shouldn’t literally do one of the many things that one of the richest crazy people in Britain claims we are doing. (Equating presentation and gender)

I get the desire for anyone at all similar to yourself in any way to be similar to you in all ways. But the correct reaction to that is accept that it’s a you thing, and keep it to yourself.
You can have your head canon. If you’re gonna write fan fiction, feel free! I encourage it!
Just keep it on AO3.

You know how many butch trans women and trans femboys I’ve come across! Not many, because I am over 40 and don’t meet people (rimshot). but seriously, just in YouTube comments, back in my 30s on Twitter, and on this site it’s a decent number.
Presentation often lines up with gender, regardless of cis or trans. Not always. Hopefully, much like trousers and independence for women at large, traditionally femme clothing on men becomes a nonissue in 90% of contexts.

I am reading this manga because it’s very different to my life. Thatks why it’s interesting.
Please accept this as what the author, the story and the relevant characters say it is.

Head on over to absolutely any Western comics app/site for countless free comics about trans characters. Many are written manga style.

What are you gonna do if the Author does take this story down a more serious path about Hiura and their identity? Well, I'd be surprised if the author did, but I still see the possibility because we had something similar with the swimsuit chapter. This chapter has obviously been portrayed in a way that makes this storyline possible(again, not saying that is what the author is gonna do in the end), so I don't really see why people are mad that some are speculating about that possibility.
We don't know what the Author intends until they actually do it.

He author has said that Hiura is a boy.
Hiura said Hiura is a boy.
The translation that claimed otherwise got pulled because it “went against the creator’s intentions“.

Him dealing with the effects of puberty after finally finding happiness in his lack of changes is pretty serious, yo.

IT HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT HE IS NOT TRANS IN REAL LIFE STATEMENTS AND IN THE WORK ITSELF MULTIPLE TIMES.

WE KNOW WHAT THE AUTHOR INTENDS BECAUSE THE AUTHOR HAS SAID WHAT THEY INTEND AND THEY SPECIFICALLY DO NOT INTEND FOR HIM TO BE A GIRL.
It cost a localisation and publishing company money and (iirc) a person their job to correct claims that Hiura is a girl.

Someone lost their source of income and you’re like “well, but maybe the author was trolling us…”?
If you think that, why would you read something written by such an author?!

It’s literally making me sick. My Jew stomach can’t handle this.
