Don't worry, I get it. That's why you didn't see me explicitly say "trans ppl" and just said more vague terms (though I can see how it can be misinterpreted, my bad I guess)
I have friends who date trans ppl and I really don't mind. It's just that the terminally online ones are so damn obnoxious. Similarly, I am very vocal about how I hate "yuritards," but I have lesbian friends and family that I still love. Really, it's all the internet's fault for allowing people to get this annoying lol.
Terminally online anyones are the worst.
I don’t even use the word “lesbian” anymore, because these people won’t know I mean that I’m a woman and only attracted to women. I say “homosexual woman” or “dyke”.
They clutch their pearls. “Homosexual is TERFy!” has been said to me.
I’m over here feeling just like I do when some other Jew says something in support of The State of Israel. 😬🤐🙄
I support my people, everywhere. Not everything they do (I have VERY mixed feelings about Ultra-Orthodox communities, for example).
That mess is a mistake I didn’t make. (to
You know who you are don’t reply to any of the above you’re on ignore anyway)
on the other side you have people who are in other echo chambers who will unironically call reality “3D” (cue the guy who said that only otakus can criticise manga, and all yuri tropes are good, always. He then started being homophobic. Creepy. Liked manga with “sweet home Alabama age is just a number” let’s say.) or say “foids“ and don’t know basic biology.
Or antivaxxers. flat earthers. Q-anon.
I say just call all of them “chronically online morons”, unless absolutely necessary. No need to divide them into subgroups. That way lies “I couldn’t use a pride flag if I wanted to because if it faded in the sun it would mean something else there are so many”. I wish I could at all engage with queer groups of people. It used to be awkward with how horny it was. Now it’s awkward because I have no idea what anyone is talking about because it’s a circle-jerk of words that they have removed all meaning from…
”egg” is vague at best in that post. It comes off as antagonistic, but I chose to seek explanation because a lot of these problems come from needless classifications and pejoratives causing conflict.
What are they doing? Being stupid and working against their own interests, and making others look bad. Talk shit about the actions. I do (see above).
I don’t have social media. I have these comments sections, mainly to drop single quips/puns or leave friggin essays on Harusono manga... or ish like this., and YouTube comments which I try so hard to not use but end up doing anyway.
At least I only watch like 5 channels. All my knowledge of memes comes from my kid (zoomer/alpha memes are completely incomprehensible, because I am old) and Click videos.
I like his voice and we have the same sense of humour. Occasionally I suddenly get an influx of cursed “I am a specific type of person furry vtuber reading echo chamber memes” channels as a result, but “not interested, don’t recommend channel“ fixes that.
What I was I talking about? The coffee isn’t working yet.
but I gotta say “I have a X friend” is kinda facepalmy. It doesn’t really say anything about yourself one way or the other.
My first thought was “oh, do they listen to Metallica? I don’t.” Just another non-sequitur, why not?
I’ve had racist and capitalist friends, but it doesn’t make me ok with racism or capitalism. “Dude, are you serious? The crime rate in my home town ranked when the population shifted to Mexicans and black people.“ “Where did you hear that? Sweden is doing really well. …no, Norway is a bad example. They’re a gold farm. Also fuck them for expelling my grandma.”
(Now I have the song ”middle class socialist brat” in my head. I actually AM poor.)
I’m not mad, but just chuckling. Leave it out next time 😜
