one thing i kinda dislike about this series is that for one that so heavily features makeup, almost all of the actual applications of the makeup are off-screened. doing someone's makeup seems so easy to turn into a deeply sensual experience and yet those moments of intimacy are generally given to cookie-cutter romcom situations instead (ie. the blandest almost-confession fireworks scene i've ever seen)
