@GroundDead - 1,5 means 15/10 in visual acuity ; 10/10 means that the person is able to distinguish two spots at a distance of 1/60 of a degree of each other, so approximatively 3 milimeters at 10 meters (yeah the eye is awesome) ; Therefore Komi-san can do the same at 15 meters

@Luffylink Thanks, saw those 20/20 and the sort kind of measuring but - and decimal number was always used for diopters, at least in what I read. But number in this manga made no sense thus confusion.

@GroundDead Yeah, dioptries are also written in decimal numbers, but without their " + " X (shortsight correction) or " -- " X (farsight correction) it is indeed confusing. About a way to make the difference (the more you know), you can assume that when a board is used like in this chapter, it is always for visual acuity. Dioptries for correction are based on refraction of the eye, which needs instruments to mesure the widht of the cornea and the lenght of the eye. It is not done in school, but at an ophtalmologist' practioner.

I measured my sitting height and deducted it from my overall height. Then I measured my leg and it exceeded the leftover height number. So I wanted to know where the hidden length is coming from. Turns out a big rear end will add more inches to your sitting height.
