God damn it the lines written by Fuyuki for the movie hit hard.
So now Kyou has realized that Fuyuki loves Eri romantically. And Eri made a giant leap, at least emotionally, by pretty much admitting she would have like to be Fuyuki's girlfriend if she had known Fuyuki liked girls...
I now fully expect all parties involved to make the worst decisions possible with this new knowledge! Especially Kyou, he's on the top of the shit list after last chapter.

Thank you very much for the translation!

Maybe I’m being to hopeful for Kyou but I’m kinda expecting him wanting to break off the things with Eri. With Fuyuki being the one to flip out because she thinks Kyou will hurt Eri by doing that.

I saw this series popped up on my feed ~2 years ago but decided not to read because I've seen how good Shinoa is at drawing pain or fcked up shits...
Finally decided to start reading today and jesus christ I was so right.
This is probably the most painful thing I've read in so long 10/10 I'm not a masochist.

THanks for the update! (I do like the senpai but maybe I'm just a terrible person b/c i would be so tempted to be "petty" and constantly date every girl/have flings with multiple girls/casual relationships just to spite Eri, although while she hasn't done anything too 'toxic' to cause a full cut off, i can imagine, other than there being an issue with her parents or family dog, for her to be tempted to just move far away and just get away from all the drama bs and move on)

:qq: gosh darn the feels. I hope everyone finds happiness. except the smug bish girl who's after Kyou
i think earlier on in the series there was a mention of him getting dumped b/c he never prioritized his gfs the same way Eri prioritized Fuyuki even when she had bfs

I don't blame Kyou, honestly. He could've expressed his feeling better, that's for sure, but he's dating a girl not at all interested in him. I've been on that limbo of dating someone who's not quite interested in you yet not willing to break up and it sucks.

That would probably be what is best for his character... but I can't see it. At least not right away.
He already threw a bitch fit about Eri not prioritizing him and frankly. I expect him to try and separate Fuyuki and Eri now that he knows (or at least suspects) that Fuyuki has romantic feelings for Eri...

We'll see! I can only hope that I'll be proven wrong.

I think that's where Kyou's selfishness really becomes apparent. Eri has been upfront about what to expect in dating her. She stated that she wasn't interested in dating anymore because every ex boyfriend she's ever had has held contempt for Fuyuki because Eri prioritizes her over all of her relationships. Kyou said he would be different and agreed to this, and then him throwing a bitch fit because he suddenly wants more is unreasonable to the boundaries Eri had set.

Even during Eri's birthday, the fact that he even tried to ask Fuyuki to let him solo Eri was scummy. Sure, he retracted, but the fact that he would even try to ask Fuyuki that is extra shitty. Not to mention him cheating on Eri after realizing she won't budge on the agreement they set and spelling it out for him that this is what he agreed to, and if she had known he would be this selfish about it, she would've never agreed to date him in the first place.

Edit: Also to add, another proof that Kyou's love isn't that deep, you can refer to Chapter 5 Page 11, where Kyou sees Eri alone (after she was bullied by her classmates) and his friend asks if Kyou knows her. He denies it and walks away. Eri was right, it really was just Fuyuki who has always cared for her.

I get what you're saying and I would feel the same way too. However... Eri did say from the VERY START that Fuyuki was Eri's number one and Kyou agreed to date Eri despite knowing this fact.

So, all the drama surrounding himself between Eri and Kyou is 98% Kyou's fault. Kyou knew what Eri was like being her friend since kids, Kyou understood and accepted Eri's honest feeling and proceeded to date her regardless.

If Kyou actually cared about Eri (Like any true friend or true boyfriend would), he would have attempted to help Eri date Fuyuki. As opposed to making the attempt to date Eri himself.

The 2% lies on Eri for Eri not recognizing her own feelings towards Fuyuki and better understanding relationship dynamics.

Edit:

Basically this completely. If Kyou was so unhappy about his relationship with Eri, he should have never gone out with Eri to begin with or broke up with Eri midway and say his true feelings towards her.

Instead, like Swossy said, he threw his little bitch fit because he wasn't having his way.

Now that Eri has basically realised that the relationship she wants with Fuyuki is a romantic one, I'm thinking about how the series is gonna push the two of them together. It's not like Fuyuki can make the first move, she's resigned herself and explaining the relationship she has with Kisaki would be kinda wild, and Eri is a good enough person that I doubt she'd try and split a couple apart.

Still I wonder what kind of feelings Eri has for Fuyuki. She clearly wants the level of exclusivity you'd have with a monogamous relationship, her reaction to Fuyuki spending more time with and kissing another girl has been pretty visceral, but does she want to be more physically intimate with Fuyuki too? Early on there's a bit where Fuyuki grabbed her from behind, and she blushed a bit and seemed to have something to say, I dunno I just hope we get to see Eri understand her sexuality more as the series goes on.

I’m a bit late to this chapter’s comment section.
Just want to add that I still don’t understand why there are readers who can sympathize with Kyou and not Eri when we already have chapter 13 and 14 showing how awful the dude is as a person/friend/boyfriend.
He agreed with Eri’s conditions knowing full well that Fuyuki and Eri love one another. Eri is upfront with her not wanting a relationship anymore because her exes are all awful towards Fuyuki and Eri is tired of it.
He lied about everything just to get his way and even to have skinship by guilt-tripping Eri into things.
His love is all about himself, it’s never a deep, devoted one - does he care about Eri and Fuyuki when confessing to Eri? No, his reasoning for dating Eri is that “I can be a better guy than your exes” (like wth, such entitlement - and there he goes cheating and sexually assualt Eri)
Even as kids, he never shows that he loves her really.
Lastly, we soon will see how pathetic he is holding onto things that is not his.
To all those say that Eri should break things up first - you don’t understand that Kyou has to be the one to break things up. Eri has no reason to break things up because (1) everyone is telling her that Kyou is serious about her (2) she is very very faithful - she never cheats, she only broke up when her exes are awful to her (cheat/abuse her and/or treat Fuyuki badly). Kyou asked Eri out, he should understand that - this dumb cheater is so selfish and entitled (blame Eri and sympathize with Kyou at this point is misogyny at work).

To those who still normalizes cheating and sympathizes with the dude, don’t come and be regretful after chapter 16.
Dude is the most pathetic and worst character there is.

Not saying that Eri not recognizing Fuyuki’s love and dating guys is a good thing, but Eri is realizing her feelings here as well - we do not know all that happened with Eri in the past, but 15 chapters should be enough now to stop vouching for the dude.

I know that this is hard to believe but, I'm sure that I've seen this chapter in my dream before. Not all of them, just the scene with Fuyuki and her senpai in a balcony. In that dream, I'm pretty sure Fuyuki kissed her senpai on her own.

I have yet to read the whole chapter.

Edit: Oh thank god I was wrong. (Team Eri 😅)

Yep, thats kind of scary, also Fuyuki probably would be okay with that. But i cant see Eri liking her romantically, she sure would be fine with physicality since she make it clear she doesnt value it as being a expression of love.
Doesnt feel like this will end well. Just hope Fuyuki and Kisaki have a actual happy end for them even if not together.
