That was terrific, as I've come to expect from this manga.
Who would've thought that an author's remake of their own hentai series would be most notable for subtle characterizations, engaging storytelling and complex and realistic dialogue? But here we are.
I loved the way their conversations played out - how they, as people really do, ranged from topic to topic and built up a rapport. And it was notable that their rapport came so easily and with so many things in common. Anyone who's had a night like that should recognize it - the way that you don't even really keep track of what you're talking about and almost certainly won't be able to recall most of it later, because it's not really what matters - what matters is finding all of those points of correspondence - all of those "me too"s.
And then that moment when they both suddenly realized that they were right on the edge and about to fall over into intimacy, and they both panicked, but neither one of them backed out. And so...
I'll freely admit that I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. But aside from expecting it to be hot, I expect it to be good too.
And if they go through with this, that's going to mean a lot, and in a lot of different ways, for the story to come.
