What are they, a branch sect of the cult of Cthulu? What's with the tentacles? Agree with him, Melissa is a corrupt priestess. She's just seeing and saying things that make her look good while glossing over contrary facts. If he had been corrupted by the Elenore he wouldn't have been talking to her or claiming Elenore was his but fighting like a battle maniac too hyped to talk. Also, claiming salvation when attacking him rather than trying to discuss things further is just sophistry. Mainly, that regenerative ability seems more evil and demonic style than good and healing. In any case, the thugs will be killed or driven off and Melissa will either reveal some demonic form and be destroyed or become the MC's newest harem member fucked into submission all night long.
@Doomer First time was the way she is. 2nd time wasn't to betray him but to get some attention, even negative attention along with punishing him because he'd been leaving her out of things. She's a bit of a tsundere but is just as charmed by him as the rest of the harem. Just more likely to do something outlandish and childish if he ignores her for too long again.
