@AnonymousWeeaboo No, absolutely no. Your complaints MIGHT be ok if there were other translators, but right now there isn't anyone working on it and even then your comment is more rude then anything. its this translation or nothing and Id much rather have this translation rather then nothing. If its that important to you, then you can offer to help out or edit it yourself to fix it. But telling the only one whos willing to work on it to /stop/ because its not good enough for you? not cool.

I'd much rather have nothing with the possibility of somebody competent picking it up in the future instead of a poor translation that barely works at the best of times. I also have a life, don't expect me to fix it just because I criticize it.

Damn that's suck a dick move. Bullying a guy who obviously did it out of passion, if you care that much then block this group and just have no releases, but I can fill the gaps and bad grammar and appreciate the effort the tl put in

You and I have very different definitions of "bullying." His translation is objectively terrible. I told him to get back to studying because what he put out was of extremely low quality and he's just not ready to do translations yet. Where I'm from, we call that "criticism." I don't care that it's a passion project, that doesn't fix the grammar and it doesn't put meaning back into mangled clauses.

Like, if I really wanted to build a table, but I left off one of the legs and the table top was full of holes and splinters, and then I put that table up for sale, I don't get a free pass just because it was a passion project that I did myself. The product is the product, his is poor, he needs to study more and then his product will be better.

@Spookie because エウリ (Euri) in WN is changed into イティア (Itia) in LN. And the manga is following the LN instead of WN. Even considering that fact, you can't actually find Euri's name mentioned on that particular chapter of WN (Chapter 42), so it was the author's silly mistakes as always lol. X&M took the initiative to include Euri's name into their translation, so they actually did a good job.

...and then I put that table up for sale
@AnonymousWeeaboo Unfortunately they didn't put their translation for sale. Imagine an incompetent next-door guy made a table for me out of his kindness, free of charge, thinking I might use it for something. But instead of a simple, "No, thank you", I started to insult him on his face saying, "How can you even have the nerve to give me this shitty table with that kind of terrible carpentry? Go polish your carpentry skill some more before giving it to me. You may thank me later for my constructive criticism."

I mean, I also don't like scanlations with bad English, but I at least pick my target to receive that kind of criticism.
If they shamelessly begging donations and/or have sites full of ads, I'd probably criticize them if they're cancerous enough.
But if they expect nothing in return, who am I to judge them?

@fernaldi01 it being free makes it no less of a product, and you are absolutely mischaracterizing what I said. I would tell that door maker all the same kinds of things, like "you didn't even fit the door to the frame, it's too big/small, you didn't put hinges on it, it's not even a rectangle, you're not ready to make doors yet, do some research into doormaking before you make your next door because you don't have the skills to make doors yet." That's much more useful than a simple "no" because then the other person understands why you don't want the thing he made, you don't want it because it's terrible and not fit for purpose and even free it's not worth the space it takes up in my house.

She’s hardly been secretive with bear house in the past and her other abilities she shows willingly. Why is bear house some big secret all of a sudden?

Whenever I see these low quality translations, I always wonder why they don't put it thru grammarly or similar sites. Like if it's a "passion" project actually put some minimum effort like that. It just bothers me because the meaning of what they're saying is lost so it's like they're "putting words in the characters' mouths."

@tigerstar186 i feel it's more the fact she can pull it from her pocket, rather than the house itself. And even then the things she'd want to hide are all inside. Only trustworthy people have been inside so far after all

If you know you fail at grammar, then get a proper English-speaking proofreader!

@trenslime Dude, as soon as I started reading it, I went to the comments, and luckily I wasn't the only one who've observed the weird grammar.
Ngl, I am always so sad about things like this, I really wanna correct those mistakes myself...
Like, sometimes, the grammar is so bad, they put "she" instead of "he". Really annoying, it wasn't enough because we cannot hear their voices, but bubbles don't usually display who is talkin.

@FudoMasamune some corrections:
page 2: "All is fine now." -> "It's fine now." or "It's all OK now." or "It's alright now."
page 3: "I'm the one who were about to be killed back there, Eru." -> "I'm the one who was about to be killed back there: Eru."
"We're just happen to be passing by, don't mind it-" -> "We just happened to be passing by; don't mind it-"
page 4: "Oho... So it was this young lady with strange outfit who save us I see." -> "Oho... So it was this strangely dressed young lady who saved us I see."
page 5: "On the matter of orc back there, yes that was me." -> "If you mean the orcs back there, yes, that was me."
"Assuming you didn't come to help us, we and Marina's party who escort us might ended up killed." -> "Had you not come to help us, we, and Marina's party escorting us, might have been killed."
"Thankfully you arrive in time." -> "Thankfully, you arrived in time."
"Nevertheless to be able to defeat orcs effertlessly yet," -> "Regardless, to be able to defeat those orcs so effortlessly... yet,"
page 6: "We have not meet for one year, you've grown up..." -> "It's been a year since we last met. You've grown..."
"Father still have some works to do, so he remain in town." -> "Father still has some work to do, so he is still in town."
...
there's more, send me a message if I should continue.

Never expected someone would get so defensive about a translator's poor grammar. Dang. Its objectively bad, doesn't matter if it is a passion project or whatever. Either have someone who better understands the grammatical structure of the language check it for you or use one of those websites/programs that automatically detects it
