@Doomer It's a thing, first time I heard of it was in that Silver Spoon series I think it's called. That agricultural school series by the author of Fullmetal Alchemist. The whole thing there was trying to see which of a variety of potatoes had the best texture and all of that to use as a pizza topping. I think the inspiration for the idea mentioned there was a German style of pizza, but the immediate results on Google seem to keep specifying Italian, so it's probably not just a German thing that Japan has picked up on a bit.

Quite sure those aint chips, seen a fair bit of pizza with potato topping and while thinly sliced, it's nowhere near as thin as chips.
Not bad although not quite matching my preferences either, thickness can vary and is comparable to Mcfries atmost. (Always enough to be softer on the inside.)

i'm angry about how easy she make all that food. it's not easy make pizza and chips in a mediaval/modern age setting.
First about the poatatos is funny how in european setting they have product from other continet that even grow in a reduce place in a great amount and selling in the market of the imperial capital. about the cooking it would be better to use a "mandolina" ( that is the name in my country don't know, don't gonna look for other name) than a special knife, and ALL THEOIL she use just to fry 5 chips!!! that would be the equivalent of all her rewards in money! The oil for food is not easy to make ( considering the time/setting) and should be expensive, to throw away in that form.
Second about the Pizza, make the mass is easy but the amount they make could be use for 3 pizzas at least. the cheese could be the right ( i can't know from a simple b&w draw) but take any cheese and use for a pizza is wrong for the melting point of the cheese and the final result and finally about the tomato and bell pepper i would say the same that the potato(moe knowing the tomato was consider poison for a good time).
The right thing here was the oven. The desing in the kuma oven is better for the making of pizza than the rectangular. If you ask me why? its fo heat distribution, you need the same amount of heat above and unde the pizza and the rectangular lose more heat.

That's all.
PD: I write this beacuse people no know that the easy fast food in reality its not that easy when you make from Zero. took a lot of time and work make easy as know now.
(yes this have a lot of tipo my keyboard don't love me and my english is dying at late night)

Extra Tip: put veggie in a pizza doesnt make heltie.... (i died)

You are right about potatoes and tomatoes not making sense in an isekai setting (they were native to North and South America, respectively). But given that this world is based on a video game Yuuna played, I’d give it the benefit of the doubt and say that the devs decided to add some modern flair to the cuisine.

@xyzzy what does not make sense is when the foods are present and not understood to be foods. People will naturally discover all edible foods in their area. Unless the area has never had periods of starvation (extremely unlikely) they would have put effort into knowing what is avaliable and how to prepare it, since thwy would have been forced to eat that food in the past.

It is the same with the cluckers, if eggs were valuable, and rhey are that easy to catch, then there would have been attempts to domesticate and farm them long ago.

In every isekai MC just makes some food, on the spot, without decent tools, first try. And later they make some soy sauce, because correct fermentation process is taught since kindergarten, I guess. 🙄

@sjmcc13 - people in the setting understand potatoes to be food, but they have not figured out when they are poisonous, so potatoes are seen as food eaten only when desperate and willing to make a gamble with potentially poisonous food.
As for cluckers, I think in a monster-infested world like this one, people just never considered domestication, because you can always kill and eat some wolves. Hmm... but they do have cheese, so they should have cows somewhere. Unless milk in a minotaur drop.
How do they manage to herd cows in a setting so full of monsters? Are their cows rank C Giant Cows that aren't normally attacked?

But overall, while some rangers might know all the edible plants in the region, it is unexpected for common people to know and routinely use all the edibles in their whole country. Local berries and mushrooms are well-known, but some exotic vegetable from another part of the country? Not until transportation is radically improved.
