The next arc works really well if we have the other sides of things, with only White - as much as I like her - it's very meh.

And also remember that Shun is not the only character whose PoV was skipped in the manga. With the exception of the Demon meeting (who's completely meaningless without any context), every single PoV that is not the main character - or doesn't have her in it - was skipped in the manga.
The manga has a huge problem with the main story and Worldbuilding, since none of it is touched.

Gods and The System use MA Energy, meanwhile humans use Soul Energy which the System then quantify to support (Skills and Stats) the user.
Humans are a low domain species, so they're unable to sense or use MA Energy at all.

The soul is made by two parts. The Core of the soul (called "Divine Area" by the System) and excess energy. Divine Expansion isn't really a skill but a metric that shows the size of your soul's core.
By going outside of the System you loose all the support of the System that is stored in the excess energy of your soul.

Yeah this is disappointing truly, either its the mangaka, novel author, or even the editor the ones that changed it. My guess its the editor because i suspect they want to minimize paper to be used for another manga
