How much of the story is left, anyway? Because I've completely lost track of what the end goal is here, and new characters are just kinda being thrown in haphazardly.

Quick summary: Wakaba Hiiro is actually an alias used by Administrator D, so she could pretend to be a Japanese student out of boredom. The person the story is following, is actually the 'Class Pet': a spider.

The previous Hero and Demon Lord tracked her to this world, but their incompatibility in this universe caused an explosion that killed everyone in the classroom. D was fine, taking responsibility for her actions (and for the fun of it) by reincarnating all the students and their homeroom teacher into this world.

However since Wakaba Hiiro is on the Class Registry, her absence could expose what D had been doing without the other Administrators knowledge. Not wanting to be saddled with more work or talking to, she also reincarnated the spider's soul, hence why she came to this world as a spider. But D implanted her memories and false ones into the spider, as well as the tag of 'Wakaba Hiiro.' This spider (now known as Kumoko) would not only think she's Wakaba Hiiro, but so would the Class Registry and her evolutions with more human appearances. She expected Kumoko to die quickly, but she defied her expectations by cheesing everything and everyone around her, to the point that she was able to break through the System, becomes a Goddess, and now in her new identity as Shiraori has reached where D is.

And why does D let an irregularity like Shiraori to exist? Because she too much fun!
Pondering this chapter a bit more, I feel that there are some points that need to be clarified.

D said that 26 souls died so 26 had to be reincarnated, but in the first place why was there a need for reincarnation? The event was clearly not intended by the hero and demon lord and would have been picked up by D's subordinates as an action that was specifically taken by D, which means they can also track D to that event. What is supposed to happen to the souls in the first place, if they hadn't died of such an unnatural cause? Who manages that? Then, D initially said that 26 souls had died but that's a lie, since there was a 27th soul that had also died although it wasn't human. D noted that the spider soul was smaller than a human's and the question would be: who manages those souls and what did they think of the disappearance of such a soul? I'm surprised that the smaller soul of a spider, even if tagged with the fake identity of a human would be enough to keep D's cover. Finally, D still uses the identity of a high school girl in the original world, but that girl is supposed to have died and reincarnated elsewhere. Isn't it just strange that D would keep using the identity of a dead person when they crafted the identity of a living person to enjoy a human life and slack off in the first place? I guess there's plenty of work for the administrators in the first place so these inconsistencies slipped through.

From what I can say it’s still far from over. The anime showed a glimpse of the later parts (in a form of a shitty timeskip), but even that is still not the “end game” part.

I took it that the explosion was the intended result, the Hero and Demon King were working together to attack D, a suicidal attack that took advantage of the effects of both the Hero and Demon Lord titles, to push each of their power of friendship attacks beyond the limits of the other one.

The story being kinda piece meal is to be expected since this is just one small part of a huge novel.

But I have to say, over the years it's getting kinda hard to ignore: I hate every single characters personality.(I know that I'm very alone with this, but it is what it is.)

They are all obnoxious to the extreme to me.

Also I find this whole god stuff just boring, her whole "spider trying to get back into society" got basically thrown to the wayside to get more "LOL OP god nonsense, look at these twists and turns? Man foreshadowing I'm so smart? Do you feel smart too reader?!"...

The story just tanked after the very long dungeon arc finally finished.

I'm gonna stop here, this story has absolutely nothing to offer to me anymore, of the things that I found interesting when I started to read it.

Such a shame. Good riddance :salute:

She was truly bored so much that she escaped from her workplace lol, trying to find something entertaining...

D's soul did not die. The destruction wasn't sufficient to kill her. So it was 25 students plus a spider that died.

The fact that she is a spider completely kills any sympathy for the character.
To a spider, a spider's life; I don't care whether it dies or lives.
Globally, what remains is a large-scale war and an absurd ending.
A sentient and sapient spider. God forbid you ever run into someone smarter than you because they can use the exact same logic to invalidate your existence.
