Honestly, even with the foreshadowing other people here are mentioning, this whole thing feels like a bit of an ass-pull. I do like the reveal that she was always a spider, though. I just kind of wish it had been part of a better "twist." (Or that this twist was better set-up.)

I'm weak on the particulars, but it had something to do with balancing things in such a way that the other two administrators didn't notice D's presence in the classroom. I think they know she pulled something to save the "26" students, but not that she did it to hide the fact she's been skiving on Earth as one of them. They wouldn't have noticed the spider, because why bother saving a mere spider?
iirc, it wasn't the other "administrators" D was worried about. It was her subordinates especially the maid since she didn't want to get spotted that she was slacking on her duties as god.

nice twist and title drop! but what now? can we just ignore D and go back to the other world? or is D going to be troublesome? It feels like D only wants to chill lol

What a dumb reveal. Not Kumoko's origin, but D being a god masquerading as a human all along. Completely unsatisfying. I'd have an easier time accepting the accident propelled her to divinity by falling through a crack in reality. I always assumed Kumoko's personality was from a real eccentric JK, even if she was just a copy. Now she's completely disconnected from anything relatable or human. What purpose does she have? What agency? Any thoughts or motivations can just be pulled out of the author's ass because she has no grounding.

That panel is a danger for people with Arachnophobia. At least the spider in the other world are fantasize enough that it didn't trigger my arachnophobia so far, but that chapter... I'll have a hard time sleeping tonight.

For what it's worth, Kumoko is, in essence, the character that D had been role-playing on Earth. I can understand you finding it 'lame', but to me, the idea of bringing one of my role-playing characters to life is kind of cool.

She has all the grounding she has given herself over the last five years. Her friends and acquaintances, her experiences, her wins and losses. Yes, it's just five years instead of the twenty-one-odd years of memories she has, when including the fake ones that D gave her, but the most recent five are entirely real, and entirely her own. It isn't fair, discounting those.

it's not a timeskip. that's how the LN was formatted. Half Kumoko and Half Shun which worked since you'll figure out that there's actually a disparaging difference in timeline between the two shown as cause(Shiraori) and effect(Shun).

The anime sadly botched it hard and the manga will clearly face the problem when it is time to cover the Shun half of the story.
I see. The last time I read the LN was vol. 10, which was in 2021 lol. I only finished reading the WN, but there should be some differences I guess.

there's a difference
WN = Shun's side wins, Shiraori's side dies
LN = Shiraori accomplishes her goals. All peepz that still live lives

All these comments, and no one will l explained the biggest mystery.

Why did she want to put the cup from the cup ramen in the sink? They are either paper or Styrofoam.

Are they washed before being put into the trash? Also, is Styrofoam "burnable" trash since it would let loose a lot of toxic fumes?

Lazy yes, but I don't think it's stupidity. I think it's just that she evaluates how she spends her time completely differently because she has infinite time. The now and the immediate future matters more to her than the distant future, so as long as she can push the end of her slack-off time from the immediate future to the distant future, that's good enough for her because it means her now can be spent slacking off. Because there's infinite "distant future" for her, and and infinite number of finite chunks of that infinite future is going to be spent slacking off. She's going to make sure of it.
And thus, "stupid." One of the necessary components of intelligence is the ability to plan for the future; looking further ahead than the next immediate move is something that stupid people cannot do.
