Thanks for the new chapter!

I suggest taking a break, like one season (2-3 months) and check to see if those who are re-using your releases will also stop releasing their re-translations.
Taking a break will not only deny those who take advantage of your work, it will also help you recharge and replenish your physical and mental state. Also probably after 2-3 months of rest, the season's climate might have changed into something more favorable and help you get back to translating on better working conditions.

Seems like his skill follows a certain set of rules in order for him to copy a skill.

- The target he wants to copy from must first perform the skill in front of him. Any skills that were used, be it active or passive, will then be eligible for him to copy. However, skills that weren't used or skills that he didn't see his target use aren't eligible to copy.

- He must make physical contact with the target with a fist bump in order to copy the skill. Any other form of physical interaction; open palms, the target touching him, will not count for the skill to copy over.

- If the target performs more skills after he has successfully copied the previous ones, he must initiate a fist bump again to copy them.

Don't worry about people stealing chapters to lighten their own work. It's part of being a scanlator, and happens more often than you think. Other platforms outright take entire chapters and put them behind paywalls. Best that anyone can do is tell them to stop or publicly call them out on it.

Here, have some Nerissa OL eye candy.

Only way to monetize scanlations is to paywall between chapters. That way everyone gets the old at the same time while the new is being purchased. If it's still floating around you either need to up your site security and/or hide watermarks for everyone paying so you know who's doing it. You can't stop web crawlers from raping the internet for easy money if it's out in the open.

I'm not going to write like I have a solution, because I really don't. But I do have the odd words of encouragement that you can see this as a sickening form of "acknowledgement" of your work in the scanlation world.

I some there's some people that parasitize off your work. I don't know if it'll help as a suggestion but you could add a film layer of sorts over the pages just enough to where it'd be annoying to pass off as someone else's work and like someone else said, as long as you let us know the majority of readers wont mind.

I know that there won't be anything I can do about it, thats why if the situation didn't get fixed I might just stop scanlation in general. I hate for my hard work which I'm doing for free for the readers to be taken advantage of. I really hope that they comply to my request though.

the dark mage knight fang is such a perceptive character, he makes the reading experience all the more enjoyable.
loving the outfit design too. as threatening yet intricate as darth nihl or darth jadus (sorry for the cringey reference).
tell me, the sage guy already saw lythe exchanging blows in earlier rounds and didnt grasp his ability? this knuckle brain doesnt befit his title.

I honestly hope you don't. But just know that that doing free scanlations is what's to expect of this. In the end, it's your hobby. I still appreciate reading them though.

But putting watermarks kinda will make.my quality even worse.
Or maybe just releases in that language that other group is doing using your Raws?
You can maybe just use AI or MTL translations or get someone's help to help you out.
That way the other group won't be able to use your Raws as you had already finished the work before they start.
Yeah I know it would be extra work, but less chance of someone stealing your Raws.

It's honestly all arbitrary per the author's twisting of events. We haven't been given a proper rule set.

But it's a good guess. Since he was busy fighting the sage outside when the guy was using his Dark Shadow skill in chapter 22.
Still, I think it's mostly just the author forgetting about the other skills and just focusing on what's currently shown.

But I would laugh if next chapter the MC steps out of the Dark Shadow by using the skill himself, just to confirm that no, the guy really just learns all the skills someone has by fist bumping them as per the gag chapters where he randomly fist bumps people and gets their skills.
