Those are some very squishy boobs.

"Translators note: Keikaku means plan."

Last time I was excited about new years eve was the start of 2000. There were a lot of fireworks that night. Nothing compares.

"You sure can eat at the start of the year..."
Why specify? And she's not eaten a lot. Yet.

"Why does it give me such uncertain fortune..."
Because the future is uncertain. Were you born yesterday?

I'm starting to get irritated by our male protagonist.
It's tough in a clear wish fulfillment manga to see the guy who is the recipient of the wish being fulfilled trying to dodge it, but it does make a lot of sense when you step back. She is still in high school. Trying to cool it and be an older brother type figure to her is kinda the only thing he can do without getting himself into social/legal hot water. The fact that she is innocently and enthusiastically in love makes it hard, as well as the fact that she isn't drawn in a way that makes her seem childlike. But she very much is young enough that it could be a problem for him to dive in to a relationship.

His behavior is why her friends aren't just fine with her going after him, but think its good for her. He's exactly the type of guy who won't take advantage of her and is a great first/lifetime love for her enthusiastic and impulsive nature.

This is the most logical explanation. I suppose the setup, by design, is meant to delay the "wish" from being fulfilled which gives room for the story to happen.

I understand the frustration @NeloDante has because at this point - even though some stuff has happened - we've been getting the same chapters over and over again.

It comes with the territory I guess.

That's why I'd like if more manga with an adult protagonist would have the heroine around 18, so the could still be younger and a student but there could also be development not limited to an epilogue after a 2 years timeskip.

It's completely understandable, the problem though, is that it has gone for a long time by now and he's doing absolutely nothing. He's leaving her in a limbo, it's not fair for her.

New years chapter. Time for hime-hajime. Too bad MC is against that.

He's not leaving her in a limbo. He's very clear about not touching a high school kid. It's Azuki's choice to keep chasing him, nonetheless, despite knowing he won't start dating her. He still keeps interacting with her, yes, but cordially and within limits. Perhaps you don't view that in good light and would prefer Kuroda to tell Azuki to go away and never come back? That would certainly be one choice, but it's also something lots of people simply won't do, thinking it to be exceptionally rude. If Azuki got truly outrageous, causing concrete trouble for him, I imagine he would, though.

'xactly, she is gently pushy without being too much and he gently keeps her at arms length. It is definitely a blue-balls factory but at least it makes sense, unlike your typical high school manga where the FMC makes her feelings clear to the MMC but he spends every chapter monologuing about how he's not sure she likes him, and of course she's 15 but looks 30 and he's 18 but looks 12, etc.

It was like that in Gal Gohan as well, but in the end they got together once she graduated. Perhaps we'll have a similar development here?

I actually started reading this mainly because I came across it after binging all of Gal Gohan in 2020, so I hope it at least gets as far as that did. Given how that went and how much longer it was compared to this, honestly, I'm perfectly okay with how it's going thus far. Especially given that it's not too far from the end.

Either way, nice to see this back again, if only for a little bit. Bless Tamagoro for making Azuki.
