The problem is that MC's position is quite lower for him to easily court a Princess.

MC does like the Princess to a certain degree, but he is also aware of his position as an adopted orphan of a New Rising Noble (who got Isekai'ed to this world at an early age).

That might also be true, and while I wouldn't mind MC having ambitions to rise up in the noble ranks, especially when he's already lording over a territory previously looked over by a corrupt marquis (it's been a hot minute since I read from the start, especially by a different artist, so I could be wrong in this), I just wouldn't put the princess as being someone worth having ambitions for, considering her personality and how she has used him up to now, despite them being 'friends'.

The Manga didn't really get a Reboot, the previous one ended and this is a sequel, because of change in Artist.

As for the plot, it is using the more raunchy LN adaptation by HJ Bunko as it's base, not the older Over-lap which was apparently less raunchy and also got cancelled after 3 volumes.

As for the Princess, she seems less capable because of her position and the fact that she is more of a Muscle-head and Battle-Tactic type.
And bad with social stuff.

Don't think the previous Manga Artist had it that much toned down either.
The only difference was that the characters were a little less fleshed out.

You do know that as far as fictional work goes, Japan had been far ahead in the portrayal of Gay, Lesbian, and other form of relationships for many decades.

One of the most famous one being from Cardcaptors Sakura, which even was modified for Western showcase as they clearly presented gay relationship in it in the Japanese version.

Neither for or against gay/lesbian appearances in a series as long as it does not dominate the focus. Just dont want the western nonsense to come into the fray.

Well, the current plot of the Manga is covering the plot from Light Novel Vol.3 (HJ Bunko version), which was released back in 2020 (the Overlap version of the similar plot was released back in 2017, but it was supposed to be more tamer plot wise, so not sure how Rio was in it).

This is a different world, and you can't really judge the Fashion norm easily.

I mean, if we go by that factor of Horrible portrayal of the nobility, then the Princess shouldn't even be allowed to act as a military officer or be possible heir to the throne when there is already a Prince (even if he is from a Mistress/Concubine)

Well, first of all it would be better to hide that part, as it's spoiler.
Second, yeah that what it means to be Intersex/Hermaphrodite, aka., having the genitals of both genders, atleast in fiction.

And like i said, the Raws are only upto Chapter 16.2, so not much plot had been covered, and MC had only slept with Him/Her just once until now.

if she become a part or a member of the MC harem in the future, then the MC needs to show or assert some dominance or who has the largest D to avoid her stealing the MC harem. In many futas I have read so far, their character always steals someone's lover or becomes the NTR protag. there are only 2 artists I know so far who draw futa but balance with the male D (Male on Futa)
