Yes. i could buy that he did create clones and did put a link between them and himself in case of his body get destroyed.
But this is.. too stupid. SO he HAPPENS to hide a sphere with a baby clone inside UNDER the ground in case of him losing?
If the author didn't want him to die.. then they could have make him teleport or being protected by a golem. sigh.
