Easily: you have people believe in a system where class determines everything and makes you incapable of doing anything outside it, then give everyone else in the party a strong early game heal.

Basically, people believe that in this world, mage = can only cast magic, swordsman = can only wield swords, archer = can only use bows/crossbows, and healer = can only heal. The hero's party then got the equivalent of a 25HP heal spell when they only had 20HP, while the Saint's heal is a 25% heal.

To them, one heals them to full, the other only heals a quarter of their HP. The two combined makes having a dedicated healer look kinda like a wasted spot in the party... Early on, at least; I think one chapter showed the hero's party figuring out their heal wasn't cutting it anymore.

yeah in a earlier chapter the tank girl got hit really bad and was sent flying, heros party basicly said "what are you doing quit playing around" tank girl barly able to stand cast her healing spell and trys to get up like she was fully healed only to colapse again with a shocked look on her face.

also I love the way you described it but the only thing you forgot is the saint also had heal the PARTY for 25% (i think he also had that at lv 1) so yeah the hero's party royally f**ked up.

Manga ends at chapter 17 so if you want to know how it continues you will have to read the light novel...
OOF, I had no idea. So seriously thanks for that info, would you happen to know if they happen to meet the old team before it goes to LN? Or is that gonna be just in the LN?

They didn't let him level up so he never got any healing skills, and they kicked him when the rest of the party was still at low enough levels that the sub-healer classes could keep everyone topped off. It wasn't until the end of Chapter 7 that they even needed a mid-Heal instead of a basic Heal, and now they're fucked.

He actually already have incredible healing skill at that point in time and more than enough to keep up with the party need, he meet goddess at the same level as he leave the party and even she think MC skill is cheating because he already get most skill in saint class tree and the rest of level he got focus more on increasing mana (to ridiculous amount) rather than getting skill.

At the end of the manga, the girl from his old team that is in the cover, quits her team and travels with MC ,but that's it, he doesn't meet his old team.

You know, I've really liked how unlike many other "I was betrayed by my party/friends/whatever and then became OP" stories, this story still makes me care at least a little bit about the Hero's party instead of writing them all off as dumbasses. Well I mean, Vince is a 100% pure jealous dumbass, but the two girls aren't portrayed as that weird over the top "oh Vince is the hero now I'm all over that dick seeya former best friend/childhood friend" mindless crap. I'd really like to see both girls find their way back to him, but I'd settle for just Emmy because they seemed to have a thing and it's clear she's had a problem with this from the very beginning.

Edit: Awww, learning this ends at chapter 17 as a launch into a LN is a massive bummer.

It wasn't that he could heal the party, it was that the party could heal itself without him, which made him a wasted slot in a 4p team

Chapter 4 was him powerleveling since he actually got to fight again, and while she correctly pointed out that his skill growth was ridiculous, it was beyond overkill for the low-level Hero's Party, which could, again, manage to heal themselves just fine without him.

It wasn't until the end of Chapter 7 that they finally leveled to a point where their basic "heal" wasn't enough. If they had kept him around, that's when he'd finally prove his worth, but they, like every team of DPS morons in series like this, threw him away without realizing that support classes exist for a reason.
