Bruh, you literally can’t have that feeling of “romantically like someone” at 5 years old, your brain doesn’t have the required hormones to produce that kind of feeling of affection.

Idk about that, I definitely had my first hardcore crush by the time I was 6. We dated for a bit when we were teens and we're still friends today and I still like that girl just as much as I always have.

It's definitely really rare though, I've never met anyone else who had "feelings" like that as early as I did.

TL:DR, we broke up, normal growing up stuff happened, she's dating someone else, and our whole thing was really awkward and kinda weird so we both just avoid that elephant in the room. She's pretty happy, and she still laughs the same way when I joke around, so it's not like I'm gonna complain much.

Do little girls talk that much about boys?? Seems weird to me how in anime an manga school girls are portrayed as always talking about boys, specially at that age: like at most I'd believe that they be taking about how gross they are or some, but not like attraction and such

Not that much, but it happens. I even witnessed "dating" as 2-grader. I think it's because they feel like it's what they should do, watching this behavior on tv. And I don't think I've seen that much girls talking that boys are gross, only as a reaction when actual boy does disgusting stuff.
But do consider that this is about elementary school, not kindergarten; that male to female ratio was around 3:1; and that I was a bit on unsocial side while making these observations.

Kids are imitating what they see and hear, so I had a "girlfriend" in kindergarten. :) I think that's not unusual.
