It also say idols in the plural we got just one real relationship in that storyline. The netorare was rather stupid and was not well received at all and the ending was still getting hate last time I checked the jp site. Lol last comment was from two days ago. But I do wish people hadn't harassed the author and artist on X.

The problem is that Katsura played with the NTR bait for 128 chapters, and since Sakura always got away with it, many of us thought it would never happen. The NTR was already present with the secondary characters, and the romantic comedy with Sakura and Shinobu worked well. But in the end, he threw it all away and made a mockery of all the fans.

Yeah, but I think in this case the author is heading toward a drama with NTR elements (pending actual confirmation), something I haven't seen in other shonen rom-coms with similar tags (usually, the drama in those kinds of series tends to be pretty mild).

I mean, personally, I think it's fine to incorporate new elements, but only respecting the work's premise and the tags advertised by the publisher.

For example: If I come across Grapara and see it tagged as "NTR romantic comedy," it's obvious what I'm in for and what kind of audience it'll attract xD.

Edit: The fantasy element theory is interesting, but don't you think it would have been confirmed by now? How would it fit into the story, and what would it add? 🤔

Going in on the non-human traits of the characters could give reason for the characters actions as it relates to what they are, making it so that some of what they've done is out of an actual physical need, or a result of what they are.

I'll try and explain this the best I can.


Luna - Succubus. This would explain her meeting with men as she would feel the need to feed off of men. While it may not be a requirement for her to live a normal life, it's something that she has to manage when it comes up (a dating app is a convenient tool for her to find her next meal). Being around Naoto all the time is making that urge to feed get worse all the time and she thinks she wants to feed on him (but it's actually not the same thing).

Edit: There's also the parts about the shape of her pupils and even the colour of her eyes along with her hair colour that may actually be her natural hair colour and she was dying it black when they were younger, giving her the appearance of a succubus.

Naoto - ???? We don't really have a lot to go on with him, as all we know is that his teeth are unnaturally large and sharp and they are almost always poking out. Maybe it's possible that he hasn't "awakened" yet, but he clearly attracts women to him pretty easily and are ready and willing to sleep with him at any given time.

Edit: We also can't forget that Naoto was able to easily intimidate and make Ryujii back down in a situation that could have easily turned violent and even turned him into an "underling".

Kawashina - Nekomata?/Bakeneko?/Werewolf? I really have no idea with this girl. What we do know, is that those teeth are real and it's not some artistic effect for her character. We also know that her hair is naturally blonde / light and she's been dying it black the entire time. (Will we ever find out her first name?)

Hiba - Nureonna? Succubus? Hiba is kind of confusing because of her snake like appearance and her teasing nature. Her family name also suggests origins in Hokkaido.

Personally I still trust the author, there's only two ways this can go.

1. We find out next chapter that Luna DID have sex with that guy at the hotel. and subsequently the author just goes all the way and then we see Luna and Ryuji having sex before the series gets axed (assuming it gets a massive negative reaction, I'll talk more on this in a sec.)

2. We find out that Naoto had the wrong idea about what Luna was doing at the hotel this will be revealed next chapter when Luna gets confused when Naoto tries going for sex and then explains she was only doing BDSM or mutual masturbation or anything besides actual sex.

In the scenario where option 1 happens...well, it's really all up to the author how they play that off, they can try to recover by having Luna show deep guilt and anguish and then we get a barrage fire of Luna telling her secrets and then the two having lovey dovey sex.

Or maybe author reacts badly to the negative feedback and just goes scorched earth where Luna and Naoto have sex and Luna promises to only love Naoto but then somewhere along the way, maybe at another karaoke meetup, the beach or a nightclub, Ryuji is left alone with Luna, luna gets horny and the two have sex. Luna has a massive meltdown afterwards and begs Naoto for forgiveness and Naoto looks like he's moving away but then he somehow forgives her and we just get an ending of Naoto accepting Luna's quirkyness.

But I remain adamant that we will not be getting full blown NTR, I'll have to admit partial defeat if it's revealed Luna did have sex but I will maintain my belief it's still a moot point so as long as Luna doesn't have sex with an actual male character we've interacted with (which so far, is only Ryuji)

It would be bad and I would be agreeing with everyone who calls it out and everyone who has already called it out, but this author does not seem like the type to go all the way and do actual NTR, the only "NTR" so far has been in Naoto's thoughts and this hotel stuff is skirting close to that line.

So we just have to see how next chapter goes, but again, even if Luna really DID have sex, I'm trusting this author to not just fire the whole manga and NTRify it completely, I still think there's a misunderstanding at play here and I still think this author is a massive troll.

When/IF the misunderstanding is revealed, I'll give the author credit for messing with so many people, but at the same time, they really should cut that crap out and just have Luna and Naoto speak honestly about Luna's situation.

There's no penetration involved and the thing is about NTR it has to be with feeling and Luna has to be actively stolen away, I've mentioned in a previous post that people are too quick to apply NTR to situations and if Luna met up with a guy but DIDN'T have sex with him then I can't consider it NTR, if she still did sexual things then it's messed up but personally I can't view it as NTR.

Relating back to Luna possibly being something like a Succubus, she could have had her awakening when she was still visiting their hometown and as a result, Naoto was the first person she fed on and scared him and thus causing him to reject Luna and the fallout may have resulted in him losing the memories of the act. Although we need to keep in mind, that in some cases, Succubus only enter the dreams of the people they are feeding off and drain them while showing them an erotic dream. This makes it possible that when she awakened, she accidentally entered in Naotos dreams and showed him an erotic dream between the two of them and as a child inflicting trauma on him because he didn't understand sex at the time and possibly draining a dangerous amount of energy from him, resulting in him to associating Luna with trauma and pain causing him to reject her.

Edit: Interestingly enough, the Latin word for Succubus actually translates to "to lie under" which also falls in line with the title of the series. I wonder if it was something intentional on Sugas end if we do go down the Succubus route.

You know, after taking a step back from this and just not giving a fuck any more, this could actually be true.

Right now I think the safest route that Suga could take right now is going down a path like that, and some of the previous chapters lend some credence to the idea.

We've seen it in previous chapters that ever since Naoto caught Luna masturbating, every other time we know of it happening is when he's not home. Like the chapter where he forgot his wallet, Luna waited for Naoto to leave the apartment before she started.

It's entirely possible that she got so worked up that she had no choice but to find somewhere else to do it, otherwise Naoto would catch her again and make things even more embarrassing, or she was getting to the point of actually attacking him.

This would also make sense as to why she went to a normal hotel, as opposed to a love hotel if she was just meeting someone for a fling.

We also know that she had been drinking that night as well, and the dreaded door opening could have just been room service bringing her alcohol and not actually a person she was meeting with.

With all of that in mind and with the previously mentioned "they are like two ships passing in the dark" at the end of chapter 25, it's entirely possible that while Naoto thought that Luna went to the hotel to have sex, while she actually went there so Naoto wouldn't hear her again, especially when she has been thinking about him and calling out his name while doing it. This would also explain why she "couldn't face him right now", because she just spent the entire night masturbating while thinking about him.

Also going to point out that the app keeps getting called a "dating app" instead of a matching app, which is making things sound a whole lot worse than they possibly are. As it was pointed out by Mimi previously that the app isn't used just for dating or sex, but also to meet new people and friends (we also see that hers are also MEN).

While this doesn't really help much with the mess going on with the matching app right now, she just admitted to using it and didn't seem to directly relate it back to the hotel. Which leads me to believe that the person who Luna was talking to on the phone when she was looking after Naoto when he was sick, was someone she met on the matching app as the time frame fits into when Hiba was overseas and Luna didn't have anyone around her and she got lonely. It's also possible that she met with that person again after telling them off, creating the weird dialogue at the start of the chapter.

Now at the end of the chapter, we see Luna seeming to act a bit weird, which makes me think that she may be getting ready to leave so Naoto can "use" the apartment (creating confusing) or we may be getting hit with another secret and she admits that she has been lusting after Naoto the entire time.

I'm hoping things actually go something like this, because the other options are looking pretty grim.
