She was interested in him at first because he was an anomaly, someone whe couldn't figure out. She lost interest in him the moment she realised he was someone she had already discarded (read the chapters if you don't beleive me).
Well, after careful rereading of a good portion of the earliest parts of the manga, yes, my interpretation could very well be hard cope. It's probably her... how should i call it... overly friendly way of talking to him that made it seem to me as if she may have actually liked him. Though i wouldn't say that she discarded him after she found out the situation with him, she still maintained her overly friendly attitude, with a bit of teasing added.
And honestly, rereading also made me realize how actually interesting Kusunoki used to be earlier in the manga. She wasn't anywhere near as bland as she seems to act now.

Sure. She has lots of self-confidence issues stemming from her height and her boyish appearance, but that conflict and desire to be perceived as feminine also contrasts with the fact that she LIKES tomboyish things like sports. She has a view of what being a girl is "supposed" to look like through her friendship with Kusunoki, who she idolizes, and feels self-conscious about not meeting those standards. But rather than completely shun the things that bring her joy and try to fit into a feminine mold she tries to explore her femininity in her own way through her crush on the MC.
To me, that's complexity. It's not some epic characterization that redefines the feminine archetype but Moe does have a complexity inherent in her primary conflict in the narrative. And that doesn't even touch on the fact that she's faced with the prospect of losing the target of her affection to her dearest friend.
You just literally described every tomboy ever. There is nothing complex about that. She fits into the tomboy mold perfectly. She is a cookie cutter copy and paste of every other tomboy that existed.

And? I like tomboys. Just because it's been done before doesn't mean the underlying conflict lacks complexity. It just isn't unique. I can appreciate "archetypes" being written similarly as long as the character retains the complex dynamics of that archetype.

Kusunoki is cute but otherwise very boring.

Also it would be weird if she got together with MC. He’s named Keisuke Shizuki and she’s named Shizuka Kusunoki. If they got married and she took his name she’d be Shizuka Shizuki lol.
Oregairu ahh name

There is nothing deep or complex about a cookie cutter tomboy. At least no more complexity than Kusunoki. If anything there is more complexity to Kusunoki's character than Moe. Kusunoki is grappling with childhood trauma, and a fear of losing everything she has due to being in a similar situation in the past. Moe is only battling with "Should I try to be cute, or be myself" there is no real depth, or substance to that. The comment I was replying to was presenting it in a way that made Moe seem like she had more complexity, and depth to her character. She simply doesn't. You can like a character and like an archetype, but don't just write fanfic and present it as facts. Moe's depth is only surface level. Her reasoning for liking him is very cliche, and has no actual depth to it. The complexity you mentioned has no actual substance to it. She also has contributed very little to the actual narrative thus far other than a few chapters that, if removed, change absolutely nothing with the story minus Kusunoki's trauma.

But like I said, his change is not sudden at all. The process of him changing is described throughout the story, is not like Marley appeared and he got convinced by him right away. What are you doing here, trying to make a gotcha because other characters in the story haven't seen it? It's ridiculous.
A gotcha? No, I just have a issue with people making arbitrary writing rules. So the length of a dream is long enough to not be sudden, am I understanding that correctly?

So you just hate tomboys, gotcha. Worthless opinion discarded~

Okay where did i say I don't like tomboys? I said there is nothing deep and complex about a cookie cutter tomboy. Just like there is nothing deep and complex about a cookie cutter shy girl and nothing deep and complex about a cookie cutter loner MMC.

If someone fits into a mold perfectly with nothing differentiating them from anything else that fits in that mold they have no complexity. They are just the same thing as everyone else. That goes for any character archetype in any series.

It's the insults you don't say out loud that show how you feel.

I never insulted anyone. You are shadowboxing an argument that never existed. I gave you a pretty thorough breakdown in your rationality, and the takeaway you got from it was something that never even existed in the first place

I don't think boy is making it out alive by choosing only 1. Mangaka too.
This surely goes routes or harem(unlikely) because the mangaka just can't make everyone happy.
