I had this impression before but, I guess she has a complex about her own personality, where she knows she is essentially an asshole, but she can't really change herself at her core, so shes trying to get closer to main girl, cause she thinks her nice girl attitude is her putting on an act, and she wants to figure out it's an act so doesn't have to keep coping.
